The one which fascinated me the most was the 94/95 team which had newcomers named Boykins, Dial, Head, Zajac, 'Nink, etc.

Excellent newcomers on a team which already had Tolbert and Theron Wilson. And I believe Kareem Carpenter.

your comment got me looking back. guys who shot 36%+ from three point range on 4+ attempts/game.
- Ray Lee
- Willie Mangum
- Derek Thompson
- Jarred Axon
- Jesse Bunkley

i believe Axon and Bunkley are from the '08-09 season. that's not a ton of shooting in the last decade.

as for predictions, i predict that we'll see a lot of lineups during the non-conference portion of play. with this many new guys, coaches, fans and players will be scrambling to figure out who can play.

O/T, but playing the father-son or son-father game can pay off.

UDM is apparently making it pay off big time.

10 or 12. Wouldn't be surprised if EMU loses one of the non-D1 games.

4 games against glorified high school programs. 4 games against low profile non football playing D1 schools that had losing records last year. Murph whined extremely hard about last year's schedule while Creighton let Wetherbee sell a home game to Kentucky. If Mr. .500 in the MAC, Rob Murphy wins every game he should and holds true to his MAC history, that gives him 17 wins prior to the MAC tourney. That is disgusting, too close to 20 wins and another year for my taste.

i'd love to make a prediction that i can stand behind, but our returning players played about 29% of the available minutes last year. we're filling ~71% of the playing time with guys that i haven't even watched on youtube, let alone in person. i'll guess 12-20.

RE: Mens 2019-2020 Basketball Predictions
I know it’s the cheap thing to do, but I’ll reserve predictions (for MAC play) until I’ve seen these guys on the court a few times. I have no clue how this team will look, or if the new guys will mesh well together. Murphy has always been able to find talent any way he can, so I think our floor is a lot higher than most of you do. But to put a number on it would be tough to do without any knowledge of even what our top lineup is.

I like your thinking, Sam.

It would be easier to pick a 'floor' rather than 'ceiling' for this team.

Please don't say the number 20, Glory Days, it is anathema to me, as it renews a coach's contract automatically. This year's OOC schedule is much better or easier than last year depending on your personal definition, I identify to the latter. I want 12 MAC regular season wins before I extend Rob for another year.

This collection of scrimmages across college basketball says we scrimmaged against Cleveland State on Wednesday and will scrimmage Youngstown State tomorrow: https://watchstadium.com/news/not-so-secret-list/

I haven't heard a peep about either. Did anyone else? I thought outside of scrimmaging Michigan every once in a while we didn't do these. I must've been wrong.

MAC coaches poll released today.

Unsurprisingly, we are picked 6th in the MAC West: https://emueagles.com/news/2019/10/31/me...-poll.aspx

RE: Mens 2019-2020 Basketball Predictions
Not shaping up to be a very good year for the conference. Similarly to football, I see lots of mediocrity. We could very well surprise some people with competency, but that’s just a total guess. No clue how this team will look.
