RE: New Coaches Poll
We control our own destiny for the conference and a NY6 bowl game. All we can really ask.

Even if we don’t make the NY6 bowl, the more we are in the discussion the better it helps our program moving forward.

Take off Boy-z's jersies and put an AAC team's on them and with that schedule and a loss to BYU, they're not even close to being in the top 25

We'll see if that holds true if/when SMU gets a loss. Although SMU has become a media darling this year, and as much as I hate to say it the story is interesting, so that may keep them afloat a little bit longer (unless they get absolutely blown out).

Yes but Boise has earned that though an extended period of success; no different from big name P5s are constantly rated above where they should be (Michigan seems to be the best current example). It's why you've got to look at the objective metrics and not the human polls with massive human bias.

We struggled putting away Tulsa, SMU looked horrible against Tulsa for three quarters at home. We certainly need to step up our overall play to make the AAC championship game; hopefully an impressive victory at Nippert. I think SMU wins Thursday at Houston but if Tune is back it might be closer than predicted. SMU still needs to play Memphis and Navy on the road; I believe they will take at least one and maybe two losses in those encounters.

There's a big difference between earning something and getting it handed to you.

They've earned it as a program.

They won 3 Fiesta Bowls in the last 15 years. That's the difference between Boise and UC.

Also, they didn't have any 4 win seasons like UC has had in 3 of the last 11 years - Boise has won at least 8 games every season for the past 20 years.

The transitive property does not translate to college football. Completely different teams, on completely different weeks.

Gosh I was not trying to provide some proof of some linear equation! I was just making some observations. I have not seen any college teams that are consistent week to week. And every team matches up with a particular opponent differently.
