You know I don't like baseball but im pulling for both of them. Really hoping for Verlander the local but really can't loose at this one either way ODU wins for once.

Hudson is more local than Verlander.

Verlander was from Richmond, I think. Hudson went to Princess Anne HS. No ODU connection but Zimmerman went to Kellam.

Not for us here in the Richmond area

I was hoping the Astros would win for this very reason. I would think ODU and the Va Pilot would do big stories on this. ODU alumni facing off against each other in the World Series is pretty cool, a great story, and could be a huge PR win too. Not to mention helping with baseball recruiting.

Verlander is very big here in Richmond. There have been nice writeup's consistently and a good photos lately as well as one in todays Richmond Times Dispatch. They even took note of Pascal's performance.

Yes both writeups mentioned that Pascal and Verlander went to ODU.

Lots of good publicity last night when Zimmerman was at bat, saying how these guys have been facing each other from their college days with Verlander at ODU and Zimmerman from UVA.
