"We are beating ourselves up." At least that's what the P5 narrative "play in a real conference" average fan excuse has always been. ESPN announcers are now promoting the AAC brand and us being on Par with more than one P5 Conference, but clearly above the rest of the G5 Conferences.

I think the American has become the SEC of the G5. It is basically acknowledged that the American has way more depth than the other G5 leagues.
