Man this may sound, dumb, but I don't even want to play Tennessee this year their is no gratification in winning against them. If you lose your a dead dog that lost against them, If you win, So what you Beat Tn on their worst year. You don't want to lose a game cause, Its a loss, Figure it will be like playing Florida last year. I would rather play Auburn then Tn. Either way its a Suck game, Tn don't want to lose to UAB.

i hear ya. but, i think it helps perception that it took a very unlucky bounce to keep UT from cutting it to a one posession game against Alabama with less than 8 minutes left.

It will also help if they can beat South Carolina

RE: Week 8 games of interest
If the Blazers are going to beat an SEC team, it’s going to have to be done this year. This Tennessee team isnt half as good as the Florida team we played 2 years ago. Don’t know that we are truly better than the team was two yrs ago, either. Still, they’re working with at least $40 mil more in a budget than we are. We may have SEC caliber players at WR and maybe one or two on the DL, but that talent gap is still very wide overall. We’re playing walkons at quite a few spots, some starting, just to get guys subbed out to catch their breath at times. UT is gonna need blunders like ODU had against us, for us to have a legitimate chance.

Bye week comes at a great time.

Think coach said in postgame last night we’d practice in Helmets and pads for 2 days early in the week and do other stuff later in the week. Said he’s changing it from what they’ve done previously.

Believe we’ll be UT’s homecoming game as well.

I never saw Sterling Thomas or CD Daniels playing Saturday. Did I just miss them or were they being held out?
