I am surprised nobody had tried to claim their specific special character that represents their team. We should all have a unique one. We should nominate a person to represent each team, then hold a draft to select special characters. The draft order should be in order of finish this season, with the champ going first.

Also please don't call us Old Dom. Unfortunately that's all we can do on ESPN since Old Dominion is apparently too long. It looks like it actually got changed to Old Domin, which is a little better at least. Just call us ODU. Hopefully our conference friends are smart enough to know who that is.

And lastly, I realize this thread may be half joke half serious, but I find it funny that people are replying with "I'll title it however I feel like" must not realize that one of the supermods edits every title to match a certain format already.

Yeah it is nice to have some consistency but I thought it was weird that the TV channel on one of my threads got added in to the title two days after the game

It was a sincere proposal but I try to never take myself (or this board) too seriously.

Just don’t change the thread title to the final score (spoiler alert!!!) and I think we can all get along!

4 letter abbreviations rock. I hate Fla Atl or Fla Intl or any some such. That's why smart people long ago came up with abbreviations. FAU and FIU. Boom!

Florida collegiate athletics in abbreviations: FAU, FSU, FIU, UCF, USF, UNF, UWF, FGCU, FIT, FAMU, B-CC, UM, UF.

At absolute minimum I think including the time zone should be required.

I don't care as much about the rest, though I don't think looking for uniformity in one specific case, game threads, is asking much.

The timezone is the same as the host school. It's easily implied. It's like putting PM at the end. When was the last time CUSA had a game that started at midnight or 11 pm or 2 am? If we do have an odd time tip-off then an exception will be made.

Remembering a school's timezone in this conference is easy. The "Forgotten Five" are in the Eastern, UTEP is Mountain, everybody else is Central.

How about basketball season, last year I tried to put together weekly threads for all the OOC games. Are we going to try to keep to that, or are we going to create a game thread for each individual game?

You can if you want to. Some folks will make individual game threads for their OOC match-ups and some won't. Nice to have a home for those that don't have individual threads.
