I’d be all for the Dukes bringing in a Yale, Harvard, or Princeton.
I wonder what the contract terms look like
I actually wondered who the ivy scheduled this year and looked it up the other night.
Zero FBS games. Most OOC were:
the Patriot League (regional, junior ivyies their alum think are “good enough” schools to associated with.
Pioneer Football League (not regional but many of these schools are non-scholarship with good to great academic reputations. Guaranteed to not be competitive in most instances.)
NEC (Regional. Some schools have good reputations.)
Some northern CAA (URI, UNH, UR, Maine mainly. Old time rivals and that’s probably the only excuse from the ivy side.)
That’s about it. They schedule most of the Patriot and NEC, some of the CAA and PFL, that’s it.
Until the ivies realize their **** does in fact stink, zero chance they schedule a public university that they’ve never had a history of playing before who is a near guarantee to beat them and probably blow them out.
It’s the same stuffy bull**** excuses you get from UVA. Too scared to play.
