Why would you have expected that? I mean, you may very well know more about their history/background than I do. But I’ve never seen anything to indicate that they would publicly challenge her in such a direct/personal way.

Gabbard, Sanders, Warren, Marianne Williamson, and Andrew Yang — these are the Dem. candidates (IMHO) who did not spend up to 25 years kissing the Clintons’ ring when it was offered.

Maybe not not for 25 years, but Warren kissed the ring.

It's fine to be against nation-building and trying to build democracy in the middle east. But Tulsu's war stances go beyond that to going against protecting our interests in the ME. There is a difference.

Aside from that she's also in the Bernie/Warren camp econonically and she just isn't that sharp and plays the "did I mention I'm a vet" card way too much.

Besides Beto she might be the last Democrat I'd vote for.

That said, Hillary's comments are idiotic.

Hillary’s comments have absolutely nothing to to with Tulsi Gabbard. Nor are they simply another reason why Hillary managed to lose to the presumably unelectable Donald Trump in 2016.

This instead is an instance of Hillary actually taking a lesson from Donald Trump in the art of political distraction. Knowing that the walls are closing in - - on her involvement with the Steele Dossier, on her deletion of the under-subpoena e-mails, and on her flunkies reaching out to Ukraine for assistance with the 2016 election - - Hillary is doing what has worked so effectively for Donald:
She is creating an explosive distraction. One that does not make her look particularly good, but is far less damaging than what would otherwise become the primary focus of press and public attention.

Do I actually believe that? I don’t know. But it is just as plausible an explanation for an otherwise inexplicable Trump-like move from the corrupt-to-the-core-but-always-calculated Hillary.

Hillary is probably in complete rage right now that her comments only merited a single Trump tweet and nothing in the news outside social media.

Not sure the strategy ( intentional misdirection, calculation that backfired, etc), but I agree that her comments were probably made to get her in the news one way or the other.

The reason Trump can control the media and she can't is because the reaction to him is 100% predictable (orange man bad). I don't think that is the case with her anymore. I think even many of the media hacks have grown weary of her and would just as soon do their cheerleading for Pocahontas or Mayor Pete.
