No, not that one you are thinking about. But almost as shacking is that Southland Casinos has announced they are phasing out dog racing at the complex and will be shutting down the dog track in 2022.

Which is more than interesting since the ballot initiative which legalized the casinos stated that the casino is to be built at or near the dog track. If the track no longer exist then how can the casino legally exist?

I thought you were going to be talking about Riverside. I have been meaning to get over there for the last two years. We used to be there every Saturday night, especially after Sammy Swindell started racing there, we all went to high school with him. I loved that place but haven't been in 30 years or more.

The regular racing season already over this year. But they do have an arenacross event this coming Saturday night.
