FFS. Another one from UAB.

So its emoluments week.

Being critical of this President doesn't automatically make you a Democrat. If it does, we've got a big problem

I also love emoluments week.

It's just another fine chance to shine the light of the actual Constitution at Democrats and watch them shrivel and melt like little Draculas at dawn.

Not a repost, just a rehash of every day, every week, every minute some new "REVELATION!!!" That is just sure to get him impeached.

You don't think something like this has been vetted? Nap or not? Run by the WH ethics and legal Dept's? Or do you honestly believe he took his Moses hook, jammed it on floor and decreed that "This too shall pass, this too shall be done"?

C'mon.

I guess the Fransicko Nan and schifty charade is already (predictably) running out of steam like all the other farces.

Sad.

Under normal circumstances any given person could be critical of POTUS and not be assumed to be a member of the opposition party.

However, there are two caveats:
1. If you were critical of BHO you were a racist.
2. If you are uber-critical of DJT odds are you're a raving radleftist.

Judge Nap is a nut and a liar. A violation of the Constitution? Emoluments? How moronic do you have to be to make that argument again?

Now if President Trump is directly profiting there are some ethics issues, kind of like Hillary's travelgate where she steered business to her buddies. But according to Mulvaney he is not profiting. It would depend on the arrangement.

It's not about getting vetted. It's about time and time again blurring the lines of what we allow a sitting President to do. We used to care about this sort of thing. Now all I hear is "Trump winning again!!!" He just decided to host a huge foreign event at his own place of business. Cost, not at cost, no one cares. There are plenty of other places to host this event that are not connected to Trump. This is about optics and this is nothing short of a bad look time and time again. It sets really bad precedent for the next President.

If you can't understand my perspective on that as an American citizen then I really don't know what to tell you.

Had Obama done this a few years back people would have lost their minds.

If your answer is no, then you are just a mindless hypocrite.

I didn't lose my mind over this. I just posted a link to a news article on a football forum. I think it's a really bad look to do this as our president. As far as the other three go, I'm good with investigating any of them if there is reason to believe they did something unethical or against the law. I'm all on board investing Biden/his son if they did some shady dealings.

Honest questions: Did President Clinton do anything like this during his 2 terms? Has any past President of the United States done anything like this? What are the examples?

Well, zerO didn't even really own his own house to host a croquet tourney.

The way I figger, it's likely already set up for POTUS visits, it's got the facilities in place for large gatherings, meetings, dining whatever. The only "precedent" it might set may apply to the Bern I guess, at the lakefront mansion the self avowed socialist acquired on 175k a year.

If it works and it's legal, they can hold on Fransicko Nan's 120 ft yacht for all I care. 07-coffee3

so we can pick and choose what parts of the Constitution we should follow? Since you all may have forgot..

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

ARTICLE I, SECTION 9, CLAUSE 8

This is a direct violation. plain and simple.
