Clinton Jr. pocketed $300K for attending just six meetings as a board member of IAC
Quote:Hillary Clinton may not have been able to shatter the glass ceiling for millions of girls around the country, but she has been very successful in helping her own daughter break the bank.
Chelsea Clinton, 39, took home just over $600,000 last year for her work as director on the boards of IAC and Expedia, according to records obtained by DailyMail.com.
The IAC board met just six times in 2018, while some members of the Expedia board were only obligated to attend two meetings last year.
Those two companies are both headed up by the family's good friend Barry Diller, the billionaire businessman and longtime partner of designer Diane von Furstenberg, who is often spotted attending Broadway shows with Chelsea and her parents.
These latest compensation packages also reveal that Chelsea will soon own just over $400,000 of Expedia stock and shares in IAC that add up to an astonishing $6.3 million, based on those companies trading prices when the market opened Friday.
The 10-K that was filed this week by Expedia shows that Chelsea's total compensation package was $302,880 for the most recent fiscal year.
Her cash fees paid out for her role on the board totaled $52,953, while her stock award was $249,927 - the same as every other person on the board.
Chelsea is by far the youngest member of the group, which includes producer Scott Rudin, 60, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi and Diller's stepson Alexander von Furstenberg, both 49, and Courtnee Chun, who at 43 is the closest in age to Clinton.
Chun was named to the board however after serving as the Chief Financial Officer at New Global Telecom, Inc. and cutting her teeth in the mergers and acquisitions department at J.P. Morgan.
Chelsea's biography on the Expedia website largely touts her work with The Clinton Foundation, while also making mention of her brief stint as a special correspondent on NBC from November 2011 through August 2014.
She was making an annual salary of $600,000 for her brief appearances on the network in a deal that was ended soon after Deborah Turness arrived on the scene and took over as president at the network.
Chelsea was not a member of the Expedia board back then, but she was on the board at IAC.
She has collected approximately $300,000 in cash and stock every years since she became a director.
Chelsea was named to the board in September 2011, despite being just 31 at the time.
It has been by far her most profitable endeavor, with SEC filings obtained by DailyMail.com revealing that she holds $6,306,300 worth of stock in the company.
When combined with the $404,1257 worth of shares Chelsea has in Expedia, it brings her total to just over $6.7 million in stock from the two companies.

She has connections in high places (and under some desks too). Its not fair, but its not crooked if the rest of the board members make the same.

With Hunter Biden, he got his jobs while his Dad was V-P. It would be different if he got the Ukraine job next year after Biden gets knocked out of the Democratic primaries.

Being the child of a wealthy politician is sure lucrative these days. None of these people have ever broken a sweat before and they "earn" 6 figure incomes. It's disgusting.
