RE: Bearcats @ Ohio State Nov 6th 8:30 PM Who's going??
My Opinion on the 3 Bigs:

Brooks: Talk about foul trouble he was a hack in most games last year although IMO he did usually get hosed a bit by refs. I do think he would have been a better guy against OSU and Wesson than Vogt.

Vogt: He's the type of guy Cronin never would get. He's a bit stiff, but you can actually feed him the ball and he can make one or two moves and score ON HIS OWN with a guy guarding him. He will not be the defender Brooks was, but will help us more offensively (I would like to see him become a better passer as teams will have to defend him down low leaving guys along the 3 open or slashing in a lane for a lay-up).
-He got absolutely hosed on a couple calls last night!!!

Sorolla: Very impressed compared to my expectations! Should be a solid contributor.

While we're piling on Rath, just want to point out that we play Drake on Monday night. Not Drexel.

To your point, last year Brooks also fouled out of the Osu game while surrendering 15 pts to Wesson. The tandem of Vogt/Sorolla also outscored Brooks/Eli in the same game.

Drake will be a real test too. Very good team. Probably top 100 at the end of the year.

Good on ya.

How many games have you watched Vogt in person? Want to wager I’ve watched him more than you? Perhaps I had an opinion of his skills before he came as luggage with this staff? Perhaps I’ve yet to see anything that changes those opinions? Hmm.

Not a personal attack, just that you seem to have a vendetta against him. I have only ever seen 1 Bearcat Basketball game in person, so the chances of having seen an NKU game in person are slim.

But your general rancor in-game threads has been tiring. We need a much larger sample size to see what this team is (and what Vogt is).

Not a personal attack? How about dropping the word “you” from posts. Get a filter or just put me on ignore. No sweat. Your opinion does not bother me a bit.

NKU is one of 3 schools that I’m in the alumni association of. I watched them in person a dozen or more times at BB&T the past 2 seasons because I lived 5 minutes from it and had free tix whenever I wanted. Only 3 plus the one at UC last year since we moved out of state mid season. I think I have a pretty decent feel for what Brannen runs. I think I also have a pretty good read on what we can expect from Vogt. He’ll be fine against lower end competition.

So now Rath's messing with our schedule? Just like him to do so.

I swear I only had 1 Two Hearted Ale...which up here is like Bud and on tap in every establishment. They sorta domesticated the experience with my formerly favorite beer.

Yessir...

Perhaps I should have chosen my analogy better.... since Michigan legalized recreational pot there’s bud in every establishment, too.

Something I never thought I would ever hear someone say (proudly): I AM A CHRIS VOGT EXPERT.

Good for you, rath. Good for you.

P.s. I think you are on FULL TILT.

Last year we outrebounded OSU by 4, while giving OSU 6 offensive rebounds. Our centers combined for 12 rebounds. This year we got outrebounded by 6 and gave up 13 offensive rebounds, while our centers combined for 8 rebounds.

Also, last year our centers actually played center on defense and we didn't help as much on D. This year, our centers followed Wesson where ever he went and left Scott to try to protect the rim. Plus any time Wesson touched the ball in the low post he was immediately doubled.

Anyway, Sorolla's problem isn't offense. His problem is he can't rebound, provides no rim protection and doesn't move well on defense. Vogt's problem is he fouls like crazy.
