RE: POTENTIAL STARTING LINEUPS
That’s the way I approached my teams’ scrimmages. It was cool to see what dynamics worked and didn’t work free of charge.

I will add however that having better players makes a huge difference. Hard to win without the horses. Not saying that’s the case here because I haven’t seen them but hoops games are generally won before tip.

Apples to oranges. A coach who always figures it out with K, and a coach who quite honestly hasn't figured out how to get out of his own way. We are looking for something, anything to give us some hope. But it just seemingly gets worse.

Have you seen anything with this team? Have you seen a single practice? None of us will see the true product until when the games really count. You know I love you man. But all I I've seen you looking for in your posts is failure. I do understand we don't process a coaching staff the same way. I've taken the same approach with every coach we've ever had. There's grumblings with every new HC, including Wainwright, Brownell and Keatts. There's been grumblings with all the coaches who failed here from the day they walked in the door. I refuse to compound any problem before a coach has a chance to prove themselves and their system. This year CB has all his players. And it's time to produce. Once I see the product on the floor, I may march right beside you and call for change. After this season, there will be more leverage to make a change. We have had no choice but to be encouraging for our players in particular. We have not been in position to buy out a contract.
To be alarmed by a BS closed scrimmage score is just laughable. That's the last thing coaches care about in closed doors especially. It's about trying things to see what might work for the team. It's testing individuals in situations to see how they respond. And it's about seeing what combinations may work in real game situations. It's never about seeing how you can blow out the team you're scrimmaging with. I've been to some practices and have seen them working on what has been their weaknesses. Now I need to see if they can produce in real games.
All fair points, except i'm really not looking to post negative stuff! I'd love to be posting about how good we looked, or how much better the D is etc etc. And while i agree we don't make or break a season by a scrimmage, it's also troubling to me what's happened thus far. That's where i think we disagree. I hope you are not walking beside me marching for a change. I'd much rather be talking about how big of an improvement it's been. Like you said, he's got his guys now, so we shall see soon enough one way or the other.

https://www.spreaker.com/user/sthespodca...mull-final is a podcast with Brian Mull as a guest that is partially about the CAA. One guy pronounced Toews as "towws" as in the "oww" sound when you get hurt. I thought it was pronounced "tayes" or "taves" (I don't remember which). The other guy did not correct the pronunciation. How is it pronounced?

The podcast said you could have two point guards play at the same time, Toews and Phillips.

From the sound of things this morning in Raleigh, we can just wait another year and re-hire Keatts.

That was a tough one. CJ Bryce was impressive though
