I never know how to grade Montgomery, he has not elevated NIU basketball to where we all would hope, but I will admit he was partly right in that MSU article where he said he was fighting a bad culture. It also has made it harder for any NIU bball coach the past 15 to 20 years where the athletic dept and AD in no way support basketball, and in fact try to stay as far away from it as possible
