RE: Week 8 SEC Football Games
Only 4 more SEC losses until Coach Morris ties Vanderbilt’s George MacIntyre‘s 1979-1981 run of 15 consecutive SEC losses. Got 5 more conference games and only Mississippi State stands in our way to destiny.

Unfortunately, I think UK is going to get taken to the woodshed this week by Georgia. In historically typical Bulldog fashion, they have lost a game they should have won and then will bounce back with a vengeance. Glad we can oblige...

I honestly have zero faith left in this team at this point. Our entire offense is a joke and the D is young and keeps making dumb mistakes. Throw in that it’s a road game and I just don’t see a win.

Wow. How is the confidence in Jimbo over there in Aggie land? Difficult games @UGA and @LSU coming us as well.

There’s no real anger at Jimbo

It’s more huge disappointment. But when you lost 11 players to the draft plus a couple other starters to preseason injury (including your starting RB) and are playing the hardest schedule in the nation (with a very real chance of playing 3 different teams all ranked #1 at the time) and throw in relying on a bunch of freshmen as starters and it just makes for an incredibly frustrating rebuilding season

For whatever it's worth ...

... my boss and I share a tiny office. He's a Missouri grad and a big Tiger fan. Come Monday when I see him next, he will be gracious and low-key regarding our chat of what likely will be a Mizzou pounding of Vanderbilt. It is a such a time that makes me thankful there are at least some classy fans.

RE: Week 8 SEC Football Games
SEC games involving Florida seem to continue to have officiating controversies moreso than elsewhere in the conference. Maybe it is just strange coincidence, but it is getting noticed.

Mizzou was out played, out coached, and flatly beaten. This team is still looking for their soul, which I thought they found after Wyoming. I am amazed the offense never made adjustments to the Vandy defense. We always have trouble with Vandy.

I wasn't going to mention it except to say how truly sad it was. I lay this one on the coaching staff. Vandy isn't that hard to figure out. I think they prepared for their next tilt and thought they could just show up and beat Vanderbilt. That's the way it looked too!

I understand three schools in the SEC have complained to the Commissioner's office about officiating last weekend. They need to address this beyond saying they will review videotapes.

In my opinion, the SEC makes enough money that they could afford to pay full time referees.

Give them plenty of time to study the game in their off hours.

We've lost a lot of veteran officials to retirement in the last few years. The issue is that there is more than a couple of relative rookies on some of these crews.

But for the grousing the SEC officiating is miles ahead of that of the PAC and ACC which have some truly inexplicably bad calls, not just missed calls, but misinterpreted calls upon which they refused to consult or review.

Right now the Big 10 is enjoying having the more veteran crews and while not perfect I'd say they grade out better.

There's one crew in the Big 12 that I call the fixer crew. They seem to make sure that house wins against the line and they protect their leaders from possible upset.

The crew that worked the Baylor/Texas Tech game was the worst I've seen this year.

So yeah the SEC has some growing issues with young officials, but it could be much much worse and I realize that is small consolation.

I kept thinking they just got surprised by the Vandy defense the first half and would make necessary adjustments in the second half. It never happened. Kelly Bryant looked totally lost out there after several noteworthy performances the past few weeks.

Man, that statement the SEC released Wednesday was a complete joke. Sankey continues to underwhelm

The scored on Auburn using the same illegal pick play. Don't ever expect Sankey to grow a pair, ever!
