Former Senate leader Harry Reid isn't following the script. Says Trump is very smart and will be tough to beat.

I thought the talking points were that Trump is an idiot who will be easy to beat as only deplorables support him.

Reid is smart and is likely angle shooting for a pardon.

Of course he will. He's an old white man like Bernie. Where did the democratic party go? Into the quicksand of identity politics. Qiucksand divides your weight distribution by giving you nothing to push against. When your emphasis is division and alienation instead of cooperation then eventually it will divide and pull everyone under. For the Dems the first victims have been chosen, Old White Men. Warren should be careful and Pelosi too. Old White Women will be next. Then it will be Old African American and Old Hispanic People. Then it will be just white people, and then the Hispanics and Blacks will divide. It is the proverbial dark path that once you start down it ends only one way. That's why it is totalitarian in nature. Only one person's world view can be the only conclusion.

Maybe Reid is still pissed about his exercise accident.

Reid is the first Democrat I have seen admit that. They seem to have this need to vilify and ridicule everything about him and make him the personification of evil and incompetence in every aspect of his life and being. Makes them be the ones who look stupid and incompetent.
