The definition of a sh!tty frontrunning fan is someone who abandons them when they lose their first game. GTFOOH.

I think most are missing his point. For Memphis to play in a legit bowl (NY6) with the prestige and payout, it has to basically go undefeated. Losing to Temple pretty much ends the "dream".

The best bowl Memphis has every played in is the Liberty Bowl, and that is a 3rd tier bowl at best.

Even if we win the AAC, if Boise wins out, they are going to the NY6 game. Memphis is then relegated to some s*it bowl in Annapolis (great in December), Birmingham, or Frisco, TX.

I enjoy football season, but it is basically an exhibition sport for non P5 schools. At the beginning of the every year, we have a 5-10% chance of getting to a NY6 bowl and a ZERO % chance of winning a national title. One L ends it all. Doesn't mean people won't watch (although attendance totals in past have said they do), or that people won't enjoy the season.
