We throw a thirty yard pass. That’s just poor play calling. Later In the 2nd half we finally started moving the ball some. But that wasn’t till we started using some short passes instead of trying for the homerun every other play. And what about Finn. That kid looks really good to me. Give him the start next week. It sure can’t be any worse than what has been going on the past two games. Bring back Spence for the OC

Finn does seem to have a nice touch and feel for the game.

Finn demonstrated a bit of moxey out there... A decision will have to be made in regards to having him possibly playing the rest of the season or pulling him after 4 games for redshirt status...
Interested to see how this ends up...

I yelled “ Get it together coach “ - loud enough for them and anyone in close proximity could hear... Of course they kept on going, but a parent of a Rocket player came over and we struck up a pretty interesting conversation up until the second half kickoff... He basically said that the entire staff needs to go... Lack of discipline was a major issue and the buddy thing of past hires needs to be stopped... Also saying, that this staff as a whole is under qualified on so many levels and that the head man JC will always let his arrogance and pride supersede what needs to be done now, that is to be making future changes that will benefit the program...

If one parent feels that way, chances are multiple parents feel that way, which also means multiple players feel the same.

Coach’em up boys!

The great Browns Head Coach Sam Rutigliano told Amstutz to "burn" his friends list or he would be out of job very quickly......

RE: Candle Trending Downward?
Is there some kind of buddy list we had prior to 2009 that is now showing up on our coaching staff?? I agree there are lots of ex players and coaches from a similar pipe line... Which could mean he hasn't been thorough enough in his coaching searches? But I don't think he has a problem firing a bunch of these dudes. And we will see a far different staff next season. The coaches probably were reemed after the BGSUcks loss. It's not getting easier for them after that drubbing.

At the same time... Backup freshman punters are never studs.
And 3rd and 4th string QB play happens to rarely be good at MAC schools. We can question why Peters isn't playing, but obviously there is a good reason for that and Candle is sticking to his punishment or whatever toward him.
The O line production isn't great, but we are very young. Losing Bryce was hard and the seasons damage is mounting on them. I'd say OL coaching has been my least favorite thing.
Also the size of our LB and DL hasn't been there since 2015.
What I can say is, after 3 drives Bradley wasn't on Saturday. The move to Finn had to be quicker. Why waste a game for his redshirts that late? Also Ronnie is a quicker cutter and less patient than Koback. His style was needed more vs. BSU. Those decisions are on Candle solely. Also defensive scheme was pretty bad, although the defense was on the field for 40 minutes.
