Fresh off his AAC Defensive PoW award, Perry Young got a very strong review in the Enquirer with the PFF. It's subscriber only but the headline gives you the gist:

I'm starting to think he might be becoming a solid NFL prospect. At 5-11 he doesn't have ideal height but that doesn't seem to be hurting Devin Bush (not that they are equals of course.) Thoughts (including the NFL prospects of other Bearcats, especially seniors)?

We don’t have a ton of Seniors. If we start talking underclassmen I think we have several that will at least get a look.

Deguara will get drafted. No doubt in my mind. He has talent and is a team first player. I think it also helps to have a guy like Travis Kelce out there as a Cincinnati grad.

It’s still hard to say. From the 5th Rd to Undrafted Free Agency a lot will remain in flux. How players finish out their season, hoe they perform at the All Star games, pro days, possible Combine invites, etc... even going undrafted isn’t the end of the world as they will still earn a shot during Training Camps and preseason and if they can impress on Special Teams they can carve out a nice career.

If this coaching staff sticks around we are going to have some amazing seasons coming up. They are not only recruiting at a great clip, but they are developing the kids that do come here. If you look we don’t lose much next season, and we have a lot of experience in our underclassmen. Should be some really fun times.

If this coaching staff sticks around we are going to have some amazing seasons coming up. They are not only recruiting at a great clip, but they are developing the kids that do come here. If you look we don’t lose much next season, and we have a lot of experience in our underclassmen. Should be some really fun times.

Losing Wright is huge, imo. Every time he goes does with a minor injury i cringe. Guy epitomizes heart and soul of the defensive unit.

I could see Pitts being a mid round LB/Edge Rush specialist that the NFL loves these days by his senior year. He would need to pack on some weight for any chance to be a true DE but he has a whole lot of athleticism.

Wright is a big loss as is Deguara, Ferguson, and a few other. When you consider what most teams lose after each season and how we’ve recruited and the depth we have, you have to feel really good with what we have returning.

The majority of our contributors will be back and I have faith this staff will be able to replace the few key contributors that we will lose.

Harper did well in the UCF game and will probably get more play time. Apparently Ferg was taking snaps with the second team this week.
