We've played Montevallo before right? I remember playing them to open the season, I think while Mike Anderson was here. The link above says its the first meeting though.

I remember playing them early in a season at some point. Maybe it was an exhibition game and they don't count it??

I guess these 3 games balance out the Memphis, Kentucky, Texas games...

Never even heard of Thomas. Almost seems better to just have an empty date than risk an injury on a game like that.

In my head cannon we are playing a team of Thomas Smallwood clones.

The D2 and D3 teams usually list.those games as exhibition contests on their schedules. Samford has 3 home games against D2 or D3 at home.. It just makes your chances of getting an at large NCAA bid virtually impossible. I don't understand why we can't play Sun Belt or SoCon or Big South or A-Sun instead.

I'll still be drunk on EggNog for these cupcake games.

We played them in an exhibition I believe.
