No rain in the forecast, thankfully for us. Based on the Maryland and Georgia Tech scores you have to think points will be at a premium.
What about the other 3 games Temple D has played, with below average results?
Bucknell did nothing.
ECU was under 3 YPC. Nothing really hurt us through the air. About 30% of their yards were in garbage time.
Buffalo put up 279 yards of offense. They passed for 62 yards. They had one TD all game that wasn't set up because of a turnover.
Drive 1 @ their own 30: INT 6 plays, 9 yards
Drive 2 @ their own 30: FG 13 plays, 40 yards
Drive 3 @ Temple's 7: TD 2 plays, 7 yards
Drive 4 @ their own 33: Punt 3 plays, -1 yards
Drive 5 @ Temple's 19: TD 3 plays, 19 yards
Drive 6 @ their own 16: TD 14 plays, 84 yards
Drive 7 @ their own 3 (post-INT): Punt 3 plays, 8 yards
Drive 8 @ their own 37: Punt 7 plays, 23 yards
Drive 9 @ Temple's 23: TD 4 plays, 23 yards
Drive 10 @ Temple's 34: Punt 3 plays, -2 yards
Drive 11 @ their own 29: Missed FG 10 plays, 44 yards
Drive 12 @ Their own 19: Punt 3 plays, 8 yards
So that's 21 points when they were already in striking distance, plus another 7 off a pick six. Other than that, they put up 10 points and 213 yards on 9 drives.
As great as our D was in shutting down Maryland in inopportune situations, it's asking a helluva lot of any defense to shut down a team 3x inside your own 25.
Buffalo's offense had really one good drive the entire game.
