The personal news for Bernie Sanders has been terrible the past few weeks. First, he had the heart attack. And then over the weekend, his 46-year-old daughter-in-law died suddenly of cancer.

Rainè Riggs was recently diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer and passed away on Saturday, according to the Lee & Martin Funeral Home in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

She starting feeling sick about three weeks ago, according to her obituary, and doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. She was eventually diagnosed with cancer and died just two days later. She was married to Bernie's son Levi, and they had three children.

Sad news RIP. You just have to wonder if Bernie will have the strength and heart (literally and figuratively) to keep going.

I wish Bernie a speedy recovery and denote that he's not going to choose to fly to China or Venezuela or Cuba for his medical procedures.
