Tigers vs Temple By The Numbers
This week's game looks close. Both teams have their strengths and weaknesses. Brady White and the Tigers are 2nd in AAC in passing efficiency. But Temple leads the AAC in passing efficiency defense.

Tigers have a solid advantage at the QB position with White ranking 2nd in the AAC in passing efficiency while Russo is 8th in the AAC. Both have 11 TDs but White has 3 ints while Russo has 6. White is completing 72.4% of his passes, while Russo completes just 58.9% of his. Neither are very mobile.

Both teams look solid on defense with the Tigers 35th and Temple 20th. Although the Tigers have played a much tougher schedule.

Tigers must find a way to keep Feanyi Maijeh out of our backfield. As he leads AAC in both tackles for loss and sacks.

Both teams have a quality running back with Gainwell rushing for 124 ypg while Davis rushes for 100.6 ypg for Temple.

Gainwell has a healthy 8.16 ypc for the Tigers while Davis rushes for 5.99 ypc for Temple.

Believe the Tigers will be able and breakthrough for a few scores. Red zone will be interesting as the Tigers do not stop anyone in the red zone but Temple is 98th in red-zone offense. Tigers will have to break some long scoring plays as Temple is 2nd in the nation in red-zone defense.

Tigers must use their advantage in special teams. As Tigers are 13th in kickoff returns and 6 in kickoff return defense.

Tigers are scoring around 10 ppg more than Temple. While giving up just 2 points more per game.

Tigers have a major advantage in the kicking game with the Tigers 20th in net punting while Temple is 129th. Tigers are 46th(5.14 ypr) in punt return defense while Temple is 109th(12.40 ypr).

Temple actually out penalties the Tigers averaging 67.00 penalty yards per game while the Tigers average 65.60.

Temple is -4 for the season in turnovers. While the Tigers are even.

Field position, turnovers and special teams could be the difference in this game.

With a few breaks Tigers should win by a TD if not more. IF they clean up their missed tackles.

The good news is that Temple does not have Michael Vick / Cam Newton at QB like ULM did.

Actually Temple introduced a mobile QB last week against ECU. He played one series in each half (planned) & he was somewhat productive. He showed quickness & better than expected in the passing game. Their coach said they would game plan more PT for him in future games..... Just another aspect to Temple's game to worry about.

Thanks for all the data and your analysis.
With our special teams excellent play and if we win the turnover battle, I think we’ll win.
I’m afraid our pass defense will be exposed over the next several weeks.
That rank ought to be adjusted based on style and strength of schedule.
I think we’d be happy with a Top 50 pass defense here on out.
The defense is better than last year, but I’m still very suspicious.
