I'll go with Akili Smith. Terrible performance. Wasted draft pick.

Opposing QBs in the Bearcats' victories.
Question: Due good defensive play? Of below average QB play?
The Defense has looked good, but I think the team is benefiting from poor competition at the most import position on the field.
Your thoughts?

If you think Gabriel is a poor QB, I'm not going to trust much else you say. I think the defense is absolutely loaded. I think an elite Ohio State offense taking advantage of an inexperienced defensive line and a secondary that had recently lost its most important player threw a few people off. Despite that I think the UC defense probably didn't deserve to have 42 hung up on them that day, but the offense didn't do its part. Nobody has stopped OSU, I doubt anyone will. I think UC could be top 15 good on defense.
According to Sagarin UC has played the 31st best schedule in the country. I don't think UC is benefiting from poor competition. I think UC is a damn good football team with a damn good defense.

Yeah the D didn't stand much of a chance with how bad the offensive played that day. 2 turnovers. Lots of penalties and a total of 273 yards on offensive.
I turned the game off a half, but from what I remember OSU's offense had great field position basically the entire half.

Agreed. The UC defense had held O$U to 7 points into the 2nd quarter against those odds and I think they lost some fight when McDonald suffered his seizure. They weren't going to hold up being on the field for 75% of the game anyway, but they gave O$U a fight.
