Houston GM made a tweet supporting the people of Hong Kong. China got mad and the NBA made him apologize for upsetting the communists

More woke culture hypocrisy

If he gets fired, its time for an NBA boycott in the USA.

It's past time to ignore the NBA! I give them zero air time in our home.

how I miss the '80s when Bird and Magic dominated the story line with the bad boys of Detroit moving in afterwards.....that was fun basketball to watch....

today's version is a hock-0-hooey combined with all the jarooney bs......it's unwatchable in any state of nuts zongo's mind.... 03-wink

baseball, hockey, and golf....sometimes soccer....that's about all I can take these days....

college football - gaining on kma

I'm pretty much already there, but not for political reasons. I just find the current brand of NBA ball almost impossible to watch. Throw it around the perimeter until somebody jacks up a 3. This is clearly not the Bird-Magic or the Russell-Wilt NBA, and I find it unwatchable.

I'm allllmmmooostt in the same mindset. But, with me I can't remember the last time I watched an NBA game at all. Even when I played basketball as a kid I didn't watch it, but I loved college ball, preferably the Miners when they were good and would come out on tv, a lot. Now, I just watch a college game or two if it's not the Cabal, (what they call the schools with the money and the biases from everyone).

Last year the Miners almost lost their stranglehold on the national crown to Tex. Tech. We're still the ONLY school in the ENTIRE state of Texas that has a national championship. I know it's a little OT but who cares.

Nothing wrong with celebrating sports history. We were driving to Purdue this summer to visit that school with my oldest and we came across this sign in a tiny Indiana town named Wingate. I did a double take when I saw that they were celebrating their state high school basketball championships from 1913 and 1914!

this is where we'll always agree.....

it's also most likely a safe bet that rural centers will continue to have a tougher time of it moving forward in many facets relative to how capitalism will progress or digress......

...and unlike a Demoncrap that everything goes over their head I know where you're going with this...and you're JEALOUS because your school can't claim a national championship ever. Even though it was in 1966 the fact lies that NO ONE in Texas has been able to duplicate that. Quite a long time huh?

Please don't say you're talking to me. Rice won the 2003 NCAA baseball championship. And I went to school at UCLA and had the privilege of working the very first day as a supervisor the John Wooden Center (rec building) opened and meeting Coach Wooden numerous times in person. He was as nice a person as you could possibly expect - even though the building was named after him, he always asked if it was okay if he could walk through the building as a guest.

I'm glad Texas Western won the 1966 NCAA title.

I posted basketball championship. No one but UTEP has one in Texas. If you want to count championships we got a shiateload in Track and Field too. I think Marksmanship but I'm not sure, you know those don't count as much.

Thanks for being glad. 03-wink

TCU is the defending rifle champion. They had a couple others prior. But mostly its the Hatfields and McCoys (Kentucky and West Virginia) who win.

There are more Texas women's champions in basketball. Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor and A&M have all won one or more.

In related news, South Park is also now banned from China following a recent episode the regime did not like. And like the Rockets, South Park issued an apoligy to China. Read for yourself:

Quote:Like the N.B.A., we welcome the Chinese censors into our homes and into our hearts. We too love money more than freedom and democracy. Xi doesn’t look just like Winnie the Pooh at all. Tune into our 300th episode this Wednesday at 10! Long live the Great Communist Party of China! May this autumn's sorghum harvest be bountiful! We good now China?

Love it.

Also, Steve Kerr is a giant commie cuck.

I say send the entire NBA to China and we'll keep college ball. Rename the NBA the Nationalized Basketball Association.

Yeah, I like they way they responded. I've never been a big South Park watcher but I'll more than likely tune in this Wednesday.
