The audio mix for the ULM game was terrible. Tons of background noise over the announcers all the time, I could barely hear them when I wanted to.

I watched the ESPN3 feed. I was fine. My ROKU has better resolution than the crap comcast box.

There's likely a display setting that can be changed to bump your Comcast resolution up to 1080p, assuming you pay for HD. My dad in FL has the full HD package but for whatever reason his box was set to 480p.

I switched to espn3 to fix pixillation and bad sound too. I don't think Comcast's issues where at the uplink not at the final mile.

I've got dish. The bad audio sounded like a bad mix at ULM. Normally they have the announcers in a quiet press box, and an ambient mic they use to mix in some stadium noise.

It was like they had the ambient feed up too hot, or they were sitting on the sidelines instead of a press box.

Nope. Comcast box maxes at 1080P. My Roku is a 4K device. Now I'm not sure what resolution the feed came down at, but, the picture was much better streaming on the Roku on my 4K Samsung.

I have been meaning to check with Comcast to see if they have a 4K box. I have had mine for several years so it may be old technology. I have been thinking about cutting the cord and going with a streaming service but I am a procrastinator at heart.
