This is not the quality football we enjoyed the past 3 seasons
Is Eddington a med redshirt candidate? What's his injury anyway?

Game Week/Day: Homecoming (BSU)
The parking lots were stuffed early today. And by the looks of it, hundreds never went into the game.

Honestly Nickle, I suspect the number of parking lot inhabitants that did not attend the game easily exceeded 1,000. It was a problem for football fans navigating that mess.

I understand this homecoming party has become a tradition for the black fraternities and sororities. I don't want to discontinue that, but I think the party could certainly flourish at either the south or north ends of the parking lot instead of smack dab in the middle of everything. The pools of vomit were multiple and needless to say disgusting, hardly congruent with the kids zone or family atmosphere that EMU is promoting.

I think it is high time for EMU to reinstate Heather's nominal five dollar charge for parking. If partying is your main objective, fine, just pay five bucks and go to town. Then EMU can use the revenue to fix the lot which quite frankly is an embarrassment due to the crumbling pavement.

What a waste of a really good MAC QB.

MAC is there for the taking this year as well, which is the really tough part. One of the supposed best teams (Toledo) loses to one of the supposed worst teams (BG) today, 20-7.

This was the year, and Creighton knew it......thus the body language issues people have mentioned here recently. He is now resigned to his fate. Team is officially going backwards.

Graduating QB so good time to start with a new OC. Second, fix the problems in the OL's & DL's.

With this league, every game from here on out is winnable, and every game can be lost. On to the Broncos.

Creighton and Rob Murphy are brothers from another mother.

Good at moving a program from the dregs to .500, but with a .500 ceiling.

Creighton summary:

Below average recruiter and in-game strategist.

Good motivator and marketing guy.

Tough you are once again on point. Creighton got dealt a bad deck of cards with respect to MAC scheduling in prior years, with all of the powers appearing early. Like you say, however, this was THE YEAR and a probable 5-1 record is now 3-3 cruising into the best opponents the next two weeks. 3-5 smells too familiar.

Again as you pointed out all games from here on out are winnable. I'm not ready to flush the season. Still one has to wonder why Shaq Vann's most productive season was his first and we have not established any kind of rushing attack in the Creighton era.

EMU rushed Turner 8 carries 20 yds! Parker 7 carries 17 yds! Mackey ONE carry 1 yd! Ball St Huntley 29 carries 152 yds! In the past 4 seasons, we've been one dimensional! Glass 3 INT today!!!!!!! It's easy to play defense! DL and OL, Ferris St might be better.......We have 14 Senior starter's as well! This was the year........

Who would have guessed the season is shaping up to look like a rebuilding year.
So much talent in some areas, but so weak in others.
Neilsen with back to back penalties, ugh.

I feel bad for Glass, senior year with so much talent around him. Let him run, otherwise he's stuck in this unbalanced offense. Maybe its a clue to the ability of our other QB's, i.e. we can't afford for him to get hurt.

This OL play is not new, agree with other posters, something in the scheme must be wrong. Sat next to grandparents of a starting OL, glad I watched what I said. I know this is not the case , but sure feels like OL takes the running plays off, hoping Glass will bail them out on the next passing play. Fortunately in years past we had Eriksen that could pound out the tough 2-3 yards. We don't seem to have that RB this year, or maybe he just isn't seeing the field.

The two plays i though cost us the game were Drummonds dropped pass and the intentual grounding after that last first down. We had their defense on their heels that grounding gave them time to put in fresh players and set up their defense. We neede to keep attacking! We then went on to throw 2 bad passes and a fumble.

RE: Game Week/Day: Homecoming (BSU)
The last time we had an exceptional running game was English’s 6-6 team. They got about 215 yards per game. QB Gillette was the leading rusher. Since then we’ve been around 130-160 per game. This year we’re around 100.

Yes, get the ball to Grissom. It’s obvious.

With former qbs among our receivers, why have Latu throw the ball? Maybe he was a qb in hs?

Games are 'winnable'......but I certainly don't think this team will be winning many more. 1st game I watched closely throughout, this year. The OLine is just really bad in the run game. Slow out of their stances and no push whatsoever. Nearly every run play the DLinemen are the aggressors and pushing our guys around and blowing right into whatever gaps they want. There are simply no holes or running lanes for the RB's, it's embarrassing. How many weeks are the offensive coaches going to sit there in the film room with these guys, watch them get blown up, and march the exact same guys right back out there? I would literally bench ALL of them next week, and I can almost guarantee we'd see a better result, simply because the effort and fire of the new guys would be taken up a notch.

DLine I think is giving more effort, but the juice just isn't there. Our giant inside guys are basically all the same.....run stuffing guys without the athleticism to shoot gaps and get TFL's, or push the pocket and get pressure up the middle. The DE's just get swallowed up and disappear. Zero pressure on the QB. Our LB's and DB's basically have to make all the tackles.

Not trying to be negative Johnny, but the tape......and the last 3 results don't lie.

Hoping for a miracle upset next week. Again, with some turnovers and lucky bounces anything can happen in this conference this year.

Agree with your comments and they are excellent, including the one about the parity in the conference this year.

We are lacking talent on both lines with some of our recent stars playing NFL ball (Wylie, Crosby, etc.).

Yes Drummond's dropped pass. I was so frustrated after that series I left this team used to find ways to win now they find ways to lose
