Shocker you’d say that

See, it’s not a fact yet. So either you’re being negative Nancy or captain obvious. Duh.

In case it’s not obvious, I want us to go to a bowl game, I want us to win said bowl game. Yes, I stated an obvious fact to remind people that we still have 4 games to win to ensure a bowl game. 3 more wins ain’t going to get an invite. Don’t get triggered so easily, I’m a fellow bronco here. One who wants what’s best for team, fan base, and university overall.

RE: PJ's Goofers on their way to 5-0.
Big game for both The U (as it's known in the land of Sky Blue Waters) and Nebby this week.
A loss probably knocks Huskers out of Big Ten-West race.

Don’t knock what PJ can do in a program he finally gets on board... he’s more likely to win some games no one believes he can than most. Minn will beat Nebraska and Iowa.

The Dude's 5-0.
Whether or not Minny gets its azz beat next week, or all the remaining games, does not matter right now. Who Minny beat does not matter, either.
Many programs would enjoy being 5-0 on this Monday, ours included.
Give credit where credit is due. So what if he's an azz hole...he's 5-0?
Hope Minny beats Michigan and Michigan State and loses its bowl game (I never support the Pig10 in bowl games). Other than that, I do not care how it does.

One FCS, to non p5 games which could have gone either way. Throw in Purdue who is awful and Illinois who EMU beat, and you have a lame schedule.
I think some people will be woke when the play Iowa, Nebraska, Penn State and Wisconsin.
Oh and they don’t play scUM OR Sparty.

Minnesota's not that good. Can't see them getting more than 8, 7 more likely.

We might be 4-1 with Minny's schedule.

RE: PJ's Goofers on their way to 5-0.
I see Minnesota 9-3 or so.
They're decent. Thinks are clicking. Their schedule is easy.
I remember people said 'watch out for Purdue. Purdue's gonna smoke Minnesota this year!' Boy, were they wrong!
They'll be wrong about Nebraska smoking Minnesota too.

Definitely! Eastern and Toledo too.

Purdue would have smoked them had Rondale Moore and Purdues QB not gone out with an injury on the same play in the 1st quarter.
Even without Rondale Moore they still gave up 31 points.

RE: PJ's Goofers on their way to 5-0.
Minnesota's no power but they know how to win. PJ will only improve them, even if incrementally, as time goes on.
They've had no Gimme games for a non-power P5 level team as they are, sans Illinois who they whipped (but Illinois did challenge Nebraska, for what that's worth).
Papa PJ's remaining schedule (all hail our former dear leader PJ, glory be to Him):
- Nebraska (toss-up; lean toward Minn)
- @Rutgers (Minn wins)
- Maryland (who knows; which Maryland? Could lose; lean toward Minn)
- Penn State (Lose)
- @Iowa (Lose)
- @NW (could go either way since on the road; NW's coach is good; lean toward Minn because they know how to pull it out)
- Wisconsin (Lose)
So yes, I can see a 9-3. But are they going to win ALL games that are projected to be close?
I would bet more like 8-4. But yes, 9-3 is a distinct possibility. If he does it, then he will understandably get a lot of positive B1G credit.
Still, going 3-0 against Nebraska, Maryland, @NW -- after pulling it out against GA-State, @Fresno, @Purdue (and SDSU) -- it'd be hard to dodge ALL bullets there.

Say what you will about PJ Fleck and whatever used car snake oil salesman you think he is or isn't...
He had his entire team and staff write thank you notes to the Minnesota Marching Band for supporting them at practice and on game days.
I know that many of you could take or leave the band and/or his schtick, but I think it is a pretty impressive message to send a group of young men.
You are not in this alone. You are not above any of it.
Self-serving or not, I'm impressed.

I think the schtick that gets old is his ability to grand stand on stories like this... I am sure there are a number of programs that have their players make these kind of gestures to the band... and the student sections...
Difference with PJ? He uses it for publicity... it almost makes it disingenuous.

As I have learned the hard way in public relations, sadly, you have to toot your own horn or people will come to take everything you have.

I guess with PJ my knee jerk reaction will always be about how he's going to make it all about him... one of the biggest narcissists i've ever met in real life...
But it works for him... I still haven't quite figured out if its narcissism or just a downright almost mentally ill level of self confidence...
