I don't think there is a need for that today but hopefully there will be in the future.

A goodly number of Club Seats are available. Seems a lot of people signed up at $2500 a seat but dropped out after Vacation Tommy crapped the bed. The price has been lowered a bit for some seats to $2,000 but the food quality has suffered a bit. With the great economy and another good season I hope more pony up and join the sky crowd.

Until the current Club Seats are sold out there is no need for a matching set above Reed Shank.

No UC fan will want to sit in an upper upper deck. Proximity to the field is what makes Nippert great.

Nice amenities but hey are some of the worst seats in the house.

The south 1/4 you are literally above and behind the student section and are eye level with the top rows of Shank. It’s crazy how far from the field a goodly portion of club seats are. I’d rather stand in the concourse or on the bridge than pack a Sherpa up there.

Mine are at the 40 yard line and the view is great. Used to have 50 yard seat almost under the cover of Reed Shank. Both are great seats but I prefer the new digs and being only one row down you miss most of the cold rains.

I never thought the food was good in the club seats. I've been in the President's suite a couple of times and none of the food laid out was anything I'd describe as "delicious". The catering company at UC has always been pretty mediocre.

When they switched from out of house supply and strictly in-house prep by Aramark to Aramark supplying all food and prep in 2010, the on campus food in general started falling into the pit of frozen despair. Back before that UC had been rated by numerous media entities who rank such things as having some of the best on campus dining in America.

This is also true for suites at Colts games. My only other suite experience.

The first few years they had a carving station, a to order salad station and a to order pasta station plus food themed to the guest team.

Now it is pre prepped except at noon games they do to order omelets.

It is better than the food in the boxes at Tulane which shocked me. The food I have had at Bengals and Reds Suites was blah.

We're hilariously spoiled at Nippert. My seats at OSU might as well have been from Goodyear blimp with how big that damn stadium is.

Agreed.

The last time I saw UC at Ohio Stadium, I was three rows from the top of the top deck. An old guy collapsed getting to his seat behind us and the EMS staff had to respond. This was what I noticed:
(A) We were so high up that when a Police helicopter came to see what the problem was that we were buffeted by the rotor wash from the hovering chopper.
(B) The EMS had to strap the poor guy into a mountain-rescue litter, set up belaying lines, and lower him down the aisle like he was on a mountain-top (and I am not kidding about this).
© When the game actually started, we might as well have been airborne: we could see "everything" but could make out little. There was a time-delay on cheers and crowd noise reaching us. You could "hear" the band, but it was hard to appreciate the music. It was like "being in" the Stadium without actually "being in" the stadium.
(D) We had to arrive very early and leave very late because to the shear length of time to just get to the seats. And that included using the four-story escalators on the visitor's side...which I didn't use on the way up, but did use on the way back down just because.

Nippert really is a gem. There isn't a seat in there that isn't part of the game.

I think the worst seats for me ever at a football game were at OSU stadium in the seventies for a Bengals/Browns exhibition game. Believe it is called their B deck ; remember them as being like concrete bunkers with pillars resulting in very terrible obstructed views.

I'm sheltered from all rain in my cheap seats. You wasted your money.

Ohio Stadium sucks. Period. And this has nothing to do with my dislike of Ohio State.

$95 to sit where the players look like the size of ants. No thanks.

For that matter, UC's campus is way more better as well.

I've maintained this for years. That whole scene is just to big and to much. If i was a long time season ticket holder from before it was expanded i'd probably be out or certainly not happy. The experience is not near as "navigable" from many perspectives as it once was. It's like commuting to Manhattan on the train. A race with humanity.

RE: Would it be possible to ever get Nippert to 50K?
I went to the UC @ OSU game this year. It was my first every away game (Was poor and didn't have much free time in college lol).

Ohio Stadium is pretty crappy. I had tickets in the away section. I was about 10 rows down from the top. It actually didn't take long to get to my seats but for the negatives:

1) That upper deck is extremely steep and you are forever away from the field. Not a great viewing experience.

2) The bathrooms are an absolute disaster. They were destroyed by halftime and the lines were forever long.

3) No beer or food people that roam. I'm glad I listened to my brother and got some beers before we sat down or else we would have been dry the whole time.

4) Idk if it was what they were cooking or people peeing in the concourses or the bathrooms overflowing but man did it smell absolutely terrible in the concourse.

5) The concourses are dark and extremely tight. The concrete is dirty and old too which makes it look even worse.

Overall, I was greatly disappointed by the gameday experience. The stadium isn't loud either. It lets out all the noise just like the Big House does.

I’m sure for the OSU fans, that game day experience was great. All the extra little touches are nice but I find that the game day experience is best when winning consistently and decisively.

Keep winning and you could have 40k enthusiastic fans lining up to sit on concrete steps with trough urinals in the bathrooms and spam and Nati Light at the concessions booth.

Gameday experience matters most to teams like the Reds who don’t win and want to keep the remaining paying customers happy.

Bingo, that's the damn truth. Opposite example, Green Bay Packers, they have bleacher seats with no seat backs, and the fans still come because they are always winning.

Something the NFL might want to consider.

Totally agree, every new stadium deal should involve the city getting partial ownership, veto rights on relocation.
