They got beat by 100 by Utah

Its the only way they raise money. Most all the teams in their conference do the same

We have a soft schedule, I could see us having 8 OOC wins before MAC play. Hawk was smart with doing a soft schedule

Ole Miss, Okla St, Oakland, Milwaukee, Yale, MSU equals soft schedule? How many MAC teams have that strength of schedule?

You left out the 7 cupcakes we play,I’m guessing that’s the majority of the 8 wins he’s predicting.

RE: 2019-2020 Predictions
McNeese State - Won
Milwaukee - Won
MSVU - Won
Ole Miss - Lose
Alma - Won
Oklahoma State - Loss
Yale
Bucknell or Seattle
Oakland
Youngstown State
Manhattan College
Aquinas
MSU

Bolded are already won games or complete lock wins. Italicized are likely losses. 8 wins in OCC seems completely realistic.

Some of these people just don't pay attention. The Broncos could play every team in the top 10 and have Aquinas on the schedule and people will say it is a soft schedule.

Not sure where the 7 cupcakes are on the schedule but whatever. WMU had 8 wins last season, other than Aquinas and Alma I don't know how you could consider any game a cupcake.

Hawk needs the wins, he is fighting for his job.

Apparently you haven't looked at too many MAC schedules. Hiram, Mich-Dearborn, Nazareth, Tiffin, Fairmont St, Heidelberg, Central St, Concord, Siena hts, Defiance all these D3, D2, NAIA schools blanket MAC schedules in November. Too many people under the WMU message board bubble that have no clue how the league manages to stay alive at D1 level. You get some buy in games from SEC/B12/B10 that fund your program, play the little schools which cost peanuts to bring in then go into MAC play. MAC schools don't have $20M+ basketball budgets to bring in Power 5 programs on a regular basis. If Hawk is fighting for his job so is every other MAC coach. The schedule dynamics are equal. The exception is a MAC school that make a NCAA run. They might get more offers from P5's because it pads their strength of schedule. Buffalo has had that luxury last two seasons.

21+ wins on season.

Agreed

This is not last years team. We are all thankful for that.

When the conference season starts.

Excluding injuries, academic casualties, etc

I'm not sure if we will be favored in one road game

And I'm quite sure that we won't be favored in all of our home games.

IMHO....this team will have to play VERY WELL to finish at .500 in the conference.

It's half time now. Broncos up by 18. This is a good chance to see some players don't get too much playing time.

I know this team is young... but this is Aquinas.

Good lord... come on.

Interesting every team in MAC except for Miami has winning record.
Miami is currently keeping game respectable vs #3 Louisville.

I think 7-6 is a better start to the year than most people here were expecting. Sh*t we only need one more win to tie last years record!

Agreed. With three FR getting minutes it isn't going to happen overnight. It's a transition from HS to D1. Ran into Adrian Martin few months ago. Asked him about HS ball vs CBB. He said the summer camp plus all the entire season long travel is like your HS career rolled into one season. I think the FR on this team are improving every week.

RE: 2019-2020 Predictions
We played decent out-of-conference last season too. The real gauge will be MAC play where we didn't win a game till mid-February. Hopefully our next win isn't till then because that's too long!

So far this season, going winless in the Orlando Tournament is our biggest blunder & is reason why a lot here are still cautious.

RE: 2019-2020 Predictions
What is it that Hawk sees in William Boyer-Richard that he gets so many minutes per game? It’s certainly not size, quick feet or his shot. He’s very weak defensively. Please somebody clue me in.

RE: 2019-2020 Predictions
WBR has started this year in a real sophomore shooting funk.
Last year as frosh player he was 49.3% (37/75) from 3pt range.
2nd best % ever for a Bronco.
