RE: KSU @ Wisconsin 10/5 - The Return of Sean Lewis
Ugly yes, but I watched every play. I am optimistic for several reasons. First, I see a team that does not quit even tho the results of the game have been long decided. I see a team being beaten by bigger, faster opponents. I see a team making fewer mistakes than in the past. I see better players being recruited. And, I am not against us scheduling top teams. Wisconsin has not always been a top 10 team. I look for the day that we are still underdogs, but we are able to make a better showing. Not impossible.
I noticed today by Sagarin Ratings, that Auburn has played the number 1 most difficult schedule in the country. We stand at number 4 which is highter than any B1G and way higher than any MAC team. There is still a lot of football to be played and I hope the optimism does not get dampened.

Agree,GFlash68. If I recall, Kent State had only one turnover, the same as Wisconsin. They also only had three penalties, as did Wisconsin, for less than fifty yards.

RE: KSU @ Wisconsin 10/5 - The Return of Sean Lewis
Just FYI, and to show how good the Wisconsin defense really is, here is a partial comparison of both KSU's and yesterday's Michigan State games against Wisconsin
KSU MSU
1st downs 10 7
total yards 124 149
time/possession 19:34 20:50
turnovers 1 2
penalties/yds 3-25 5-40
score 0-48 0-38
Now, I'm NOT suggesting KSU could beat MSU. I'm just showing how KSU's offensive performance against Wisconsin was no worse than MSU's, a decent P5 team.

That team in Columbus is going to have a tough time against Wisconsin in 2 weeks.
