Step one: Claim NRA is Terrorist Organization
Step two: Blink when challenged
Step three: Have your lawyer tweet something to make the organization that made you blink look bad.

Hey San Fran, go clean the sh*t off your streets..

No, *certain parts* of America are facing an epidemic of gun violence & other violent crime. Violent crime rates in rural America are ~0.

The GOP needs to get tougher rhetorically on this, or the dems will successfully paint their failure to govern as a reason to take the GOP's constituents' rights away.

"...every single piece of gun control legislation that can and will save lives.” Did I miss something? Is there even such legislation? Apparently not.

Of course there is. The democrats passed such legislation in Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC and New York. It is a glowing endorsement to the rest of the country....

.

Not true at all. Crime rates have risen dramatically in rural areas, mostly due to opioid epidemic and increasing poverty. Many small towns also cannot afford adequate police forces.

Then that is a good reason to buy a gun....

Have some facts to back that up? I won’t deny that they have risen, but they are still no where near that of the big cities.

Homicide rate
Cities >1mil: 9.7/100k
500k-999k: 12.9/100k
250k-499k: 12.3/100k
100k-249k: 6.5/100k
50k-99k: 3.6/100k

https://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R45236.pdf

So, you're 169% and 258% more likely to be murdered in a big city, per capita, than a small town, and there seems to be a pretty clear correlation between the smaller the town, the lower the violent crime rate. I guess we can quibble over if a town of 50k is considered rural, but maybe you could direct me to those numbers, as what you're saying would completely buck the trend.

Then I found this. Again, urban crime per capita blows rural away in practically every category.
