Bloomgren sounds like he's going with Green for the whole game (unless that result isn't working out the way he's hoping).

I think this is where Rice gets its first win of the year. The UAB offense has been sputtering (their QB threw 4 interceptions last week) and they really haven't played a good schedule at all. The only thing that concerns me is UAB's defense looks decent - so it should be a low scoring game.

I think we actually win a game and somehow make two field goals.

I take Rice over UAB, 20-13.

A Rice win on the road would be quite a turnaround. I think it will be low-scoring as others have said, which gives us a chance to pull off a win late.

A 45-14 win for the 8-4 Owls. But that 37-20 loss at 4-7 SMU in the last game of the season still bothers me.

Not specifically UAB-related, but the Chron has an article on Aston Walter that had an interesting quote from Coach Bloomgren:

Aston Walter has 6 catches in 5 games. If he's one of the best receivers on the team, which would not be at all surprising since he was on the WR depth chart in 2015 & 2016, then why is he getting so few targets and catches per game? The limited number of throws to RB and TE has been driving me crazy! That should be a staple of a run-heavy team that rarely throws the deep ball. Use more play-action and more screens. Let your RB and TE settle into an opening in zone coverage after helping with blocking for a second.
