I get that this is all a joke (and I freakin' love it!), but that's like every possible design thrown up all over the field...

Again... LOVE IT! (That it's not happening...)

Edit: Come to think of it, the design is missing the triangles and the scratch/tear marks... Gotta work those in!
I love it. Like Orson Welles and landing of the Martians story back in the day. Just a touch of humor.😎

I'm going to start doomsday prepping soon.

It's dumb to get worked up over it, BUT I think the only reason people even thought it was real is that we'd had the comment "Something big coming soon..." earlier. So when it got posted with that "something big" in everyone's head it made waves.

Exactly my thought. I guess the other question is was that really the "big news"?

Orson Welles preceded the War of the Worlds broadcast with a disclaimer. Not a fair comparison as it was a work of art, not a cheap Twitter post.

Very deserving. Here's hoping he goes out and exceeds expectations this season and earns All American status at season's end.

Pete Fiutak of collegefootballnews.com has bought the hoax:

"The funky new field at Cincinnati will be scary, but UCF will balance out the offense enough get off of it alive.

He does have a few good paragraphs:

"Why Cincinnati Will Win

"Can the Bearcats grind it out?

"Time of possession doesn’t mean everything or, sometimes, anything when a team is able to strike quickly like UCF can. However, in this game, the Knights are going to need the ball more than 26 minutes – their normal average.

"The Bearcats can play with a little bit of tempo, but the more they can control the clock, the more they’ll make the UCF offense press a bit.

"This mattered in the UCF loss to Pitt. The Knight O was able to explode in the third quarter, but when the Panthers needed to take back momentum, they were able to grind just enough with a running game that pushed for close to 200 yards. They held the ball for almost 36 minutes, and Cincinnati can follow the same formula."

Truck Williams, Doaks and Tavion Thomas will run the ball well.

But Bryan Wright will reach out of the black turf
and grab RBs Killins and McCrae and pull them into the black hole
of Cincinnati.

Who is "Truck Williams?" Deters from credibility of this article.
