Is it really about getting a corrupt official out of office or about getting Trump out of office?

Because there are plenty of corrupt officials in office from both parties.

And lots of Americans were OK with a corrupt official running on the DNC ticket during the last election.

Yup. And do they really think this would be a good idea to do this for the first time in American history? At this time, as divided as things are? Over THIS?

People really need to go actually read (or have someone read it to them, depending) the transcript of the call. Next to nothing like what is being portrayed by the breathless pearl clutchers, and they know it.

So, what to do? Ahhhh! Pivot to the old "coverup is worse than the crime" routine.

Such an egregious coverup He released the entire written transcript. WITHOUT any order or subpoena to do so.

If this is a coverup, it's likely the worst coverup ever. 03-lmfao

Of course, knowing what we know now, they won't. But this is likely a long way from over.

Sooo, you're convinced he's committed some High crime and misdemeanor, but now just need endless investigations to find evidence of such.

Got it. Sounds like a heck of a way to run things. 07-coffee3

That's the "we don't yet know what we don't know" defense, which is used by the dems whenever they realize they took a deep dive into a shallow pool, and just want to use time to slowly back away while hoping no one is watching.

Dude, more info is breaking on this daily and not much of anything is favorable toward trump. If you don't see that. you're just being obtuse.

Literally nothing is breaking.

Have to remember he considers the daily "might have, could have, could be, potentially, maybe" as breaking news.

I think he just inadvertently misspelled "leaking".

I'm still trying to figure out why a President, asking for another President's help in investigating what seems to be some pretty clear indications of corruption, is considered corruption.

I don't know if Biden is guilty, but it certainly seems worth looking in to, not only given the facts (his apparent lack of qualifications for a very high paying job) but also his father's direct quotes on the issue.

Because that has nothing to do with it. Democrats will lie, cheat, steal.....anything to remove Trump. It's completely irrational.

Its simply the latest witchhunt. They seem to be coordinating with the search engines and each other to keep this at the top of the news.

"...What is driving the impeachment blather is an overwhelming desire by Democrats and the complicit media to destroy Trump’s presidency, undo the 2016 election, and evict him from office. Talk of impeaching Trump began before he was ever sworn in or unpacked his luggage at the White House. Every act by the president has been branded “an impeachable offense.”

At first, it was emoluments, then it was the firing of James Comey as FBI director, then it was the Trump-Russia “collusion” hoax, then it was Trump’s alleged remark about Gen. Michael Flynn, then it was obstruction of justice. Stormy Daniels was supposed to bring down Trump, then it white-nationalism and neo-Nazism, then it was Michael Cohen’s testimony, then it was Trump’s finances. The list extends ad nauseam...."

Huh? You have that exactly backwards. Remember what Clinton's approval rating jumped to after he was acquitted?

Trump is already on the verge of re-election as it is, his acquittal before the election would demoralize the dems and seal up his victory.

I agree that trump is on the verge of something, but right now, It's NOT re-election! 03-rotfl

If Trump were removed--or possibly if he is not--I think it could trigger a huge split. I am just afraid that the NE and west coast simply do not have enough in common with flyover country to coexist. Interestingly, Canada is experiencing a severe rift between Alberta and the eastern part of the country, with the other prairie provinces leaning toward Alberta. The west has been subsidizing the unholy alliance that was brokered by Ontario to keep Quebec from seceding. Alberta is already entertaining active secession talk, which is legal in Canada. If they leave, then Ontario and Quebec are going to need to partner with somebody who can support their deal financially. I could see a split where:
1) the northeastern US allies with eastern Canada, basically everybody from Maryland north and everybody who borders on the Great Lakes,
2) California, Oregon, and Washington, either ally with 1), or form their own,
3) Heartland, the remaining US states, along with Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, join together.

There are a few questions. One, the Canadian provinces in general have more social services than in the US, but in the Canadian system those are pretty much all provincial, and they could keep them. Their big thing is to get away from the money drain of supporting Quebec. Two, there are a few US states that might be questionable which way they go--Virginia, Iowa, Alaska--and some Canadian provinces/territories as well--BC, Yukon, Nunavit, NW Territories. I because of the DC establishment, I would expect VA to go with the NE states, and I would expect IA and AK to go with the Heartland. My guess is that BC would go with CA/OR/WA, Nunavit would go with ON/QB/Maritimes/US northeast, and Yukon and NW Territories would probably go with AB/SK/MB.

I don't want this to happen, but I think it is becoming inevitable. In thinking about it, I think any one of the three would be a better place to live than the US if we remain as divided as we are. Each country would have a major navigable inland waterway--Mississippi/Missouri in Heartland, Great Lakes/St. Lawrence in the NE, and Columbia on the west coast.

In this sort of split and alliance, I can see where the presence of the Canadian provinces would nudge Heartland toward a bigger and broader social safety net, probably along European social democrat lines of basically a capitalist economy with a safety net--I could see a compromise like replacing current welfare with a universal basic income and adding Bismarck health care. I would expect the east and west coasts, independently or together, to move toward a massive redistribution scheme along lines proposed by democrats. If that happens, then over time I would expect to see a migration of wealth to Heartland from the others.

One problem Heartland would have is the lack of a major financial center. That is one big reason why we hear the oft-repeated rhetoric about which states are givers and which states are takers. Money gravitates toward financial centers. I could see several viable candidates--Charlotte (which is already a significant domestic banking center), Atlanta, Miami (with its Latin American connections), Houston (with oil and gas plus international connections), and Dallas or Denver (with connections to mid-continent energy and agricultural sectors). Because so much of the value is created in Heartland, there would certainly be an attraction to create a financial center somewhere.

If 1) and 2) ally, they would have the inevitable problems of geographic split. And if Alaska joined Heartland but Yukon and NWT did not join along with AB/SK/MB, both countries would have that problem.

I'd like to see the split. It would be for the best for everyone. IF the left ever succeeds in eliminating the electoral college, the Northeast and left coast will dictate policy for the entire country anyway.

I think Alberta could trigger it. If Alberta goes, then Ontario needs to find some deep pockets somewhere in order to hang on to Quebec. They either align with the US or Quebec secedes. Not sure which is the better alternative, but Ontario does not want to let Quebec go.

As I said, I'm patriotic enough not to want to see it, but I'm not sure it is avoidable. And at this point, I think both will be happier with the split.

Actually it is because the Democratic House Leadership conspired with the Obama administration, Hillary and her people, and agents within the DOJ and FBI in an attempted soft coup de tat against a newly elected President, and by doing so committed not only treason, but numerous felonies and the only hope they currently have of eventually escaping punishment is to try to tag Trump with anything before the non corrupted officials in the DOJ and FBI tag them.

That's it and there's no more to this story that that. Now if heads roll on the Dem side of the aisle when everything is concluded then I think certain people in the news media should be held liable, if not also indicted for high crimes against this government inasmuch as they deliberately failed to do due diligence in ascertaining the truth before airing what were essentially supporting lies for the perpetrators.

So the long and short of it is that the media, the House Dems, and Obama and Clinton people have no defense left now that they've been exposed other than to attack until they've lost everything.

that's called playing politics...just like the GOPers breaking into the DNC at Watergate.

don't ever think the other side will just 'roll over and take it'

Fox says whistleblower not under whistleblower protection

and yet Drudge cannot even bother to post the link to Fox... and instead sticks with the claim that the Whistleblower is in fear for his life and under Federal protection..

Drudge still has article up saying Whistleblower is under Federal protection

Why is this a big deal to Pro Trump people?

because if Drudge can't be bother to come to Trump's defense... then sooner or later Fox will drop their support...

Without Fox and Drudge...this president will lose the public support he still has... and remember this President is not loved by the Republican party. House and Senate Republicans will peel away quickly.... once public support erodes..

Trump has done nothing impeachable...but he has too many enemies on both sides of the aisle to survive this..

The Dems are so confident... even HRC is considering jumping into the race.

Stick a fork in Trump. he is finished.

Contrary to popular opinion, Deudge isn’t a Trump support system. It’s driven entirely by whatever will get the most clicks.

^This. The Drudge Report is hardly an arbiter of unbiased reporting.

Republicans have been saying that since before I was born. All I've seen is Republicans leaving the country in bad shape and in wars. Democrats building the country back up again. Yes, I hope we can survive those Democrat years of economic growth.

We've been socialist since before I was born. All the Republicans have talked about is that it will destroy the country. Nope, hasn't been destroyed yet.

All while the current debt is growing at a record pace. The Republicans used to say that would destroy the country. Maybe I'm just a little confused on what the Republican definition of destroying the country is. It seems to change daily.
