TJ has 4 int's but he has thrown 6, two of them were just stone cold drops by WKU.

Poor offensive performance leads to a very tired defense.

You will learn more from losing than winning. Tonight is one of those.

We can still win CUSA and go to a big bowl but we need to learn from this. Hopefully it lights a fire under the players.

We lost it but the play calling was so bad particularly the final 3 plays. Why would you go vertical 3 plays in a row when the curl flats were killing them all night

Gave one away for sure. Hope that doesn’t burn us in the CUSA race. I feel like that’s the worst we’ve played. And that includes the Ala State game. Shot ourselves in the foot with penalties and turnovers. Can’t play like that on the road and expect to win.

Why would you not have the RB shipping their best pass rusher. On the sack that ended the game for us we had our RB and LG blocking air.

Simple defensive gameplan by WKU(expect to see it a lot going forward) : force UAB to be patient and work the ball down the field, don't get beat deep. If we don't get the running game going and stick with it we're gonna have some issues with teams that grind (like Rice next week - Rice / LaTech in OT tonight).

RE: ***Game Thread*** UAB v WKU
This was a reality check.

And now we know a little more about how good we are, or aren't.

I think our guys got a little caught up on the 3-0 and the hype, and started thinking they were better than they are.

This is the team that could easily have lost to FCS Alabama State, struggled to put woeful Akron away, and felt a little better about ourselves because we dominated a terrible USA team. And then we went on the road against another really bad team and laid an egg. Shades of Charlotte and Coastal Carolina from years past.

Hopefully we turn things around from here, like we did after both of those losses.

Tech wins 23-20 in OT

RE: ***Game Thread*** UAB v WKU
WKU had DBs that could stick with us on the deep routes. A lot of teams don’t have that kind of speed. Also, at least when we play at home, the pass interference is actually going to get called. The no call late in the game was particularly atrocious. DB was plowing into our guy with the ball in the air and the DB hadn’t a clue where the ball even was. Playing at home, that crap is much more likely to be called.

Bottom line is that I don’t think UAB is as bad as we looked in that game. In many respects, we outplayed WKU. Just not in turnovers or in the main stat that matters— the final score.

We will bounce back.

One int and maybe we have a chance to win. Our QB picked a good time to become Brett favre out there. Too much hero ball. Just throwing it up in the air hoping someone would get it.

I haven’t heard Clark sound so ticked on the postgame as he was this time. I wouldn’t want to be Rice next Saturday...

I didn't hear it, but that is good news. I hope it gets their attention.

WKU dropped 3 INTs and two of those should have been pick-6s. Just a bad offensive performance tonight. Credit WKU for taking advantage of their bye week.
