RE: VB in conference play
The NCAA Committee released its top 10 rankings this morning. Of course things could change but if the season ended today, the top 10 would be...

1 Texas, 2 Baylor, 3 Wisconsin, 4 Stanford, 5 Pitt, 6 Nebraska, 7 Washington, 8 Minnesota, 9 Florida and 10 Creighton. It's possible the top 10 doesn't reflect Washington's loss Friday at home to USC? They had a good non-conference but are just 7-4 in the Pac 12.

Most be something in the scouting report-- we're going much more to the middle blockers (Morgan, Adekunle) today for the kills.

7-4 in the Pac-12 is pretty darn good. I think that puts them tied for 2nd place.

Mine's working, but I'm going to have leave in awhile to head to the airport.

4 way tie for 4th. And they play UCLA today (who is in 2nd at 8-3). They are 4-0 against other top-10 teams, which is impressive.

20 - 10. 5 different players have either 2 or 3 kills each. Now that's balance. Only one error so far. No blocks.

Finally got video to work. Wish the video person would zoom out so we can actually see the plays. Also, getting a headace with all the fast back and forth movement.

UAB not quitting, but lose the second set 25 - 22. Lennon and Adekunle with 9 kills each. Rice with 31 kills to only 4 attack errors. Cunningham with 12 digs. Martinez with 14 assists and 8 digs. Great balance today on both offense and defense.

I'm off to airport. Will be following on my iPhone as we seek another road sweep. Go ladies!

Rice trailed 21-24, but went on a 5-0 run to win the 3rd and complete the sweep.

RE: VB in conference play
Rice sweeps but it was very close in game 3 (we were down a few game points). Still most teams in the polls are just going to see a 3-0 road sweep, so honestly the scores won't really matter. Tougher two matches at home next week - we probably need to step it up a bit.
