Nationalism vs. globalism
https://amgreatness.com/2019/09/26/polit...o-america/
Author thinks political realignment is coming on globalism vs. nationalism, that its not just a phenomena of the Trump administration.

"...And for more than three years, Trump, along with everyone who supports him, has been subjected to passionate hatred from nearly everyone who would rather have seen Clinton elected.

It might be tempting to return the favor and hate back. That not only would be a tactical mistake—since you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar—but also inaccurate targeting. There are a surprising number of liberals, progressives, and even socialists, who are not only anti-Clinton, but are begrudgingly, and increasingly, capable of seeing the positive side of the Trump presidency.

A very early indication of this came in October 2016, when John Pilger published in the London Progressive Journal an influential article titled, “Why Hillary Clinton Is More Dangerous Than Donald Trump.” Pilger, notwithstanding his socialist leanings, is a world-renowned journalist and filmmaker of undeniable courage and integrity.

In an eloquent tirade notable for its many, many examples of how Hillary Clinton is a murderous establishment puppet, this observation by Pilger summed it up: “She is no maverick. She embodies the resilience and violence of a system whose vaunted ‘exceptionalism’ is totalitarian with an occasional liberal face.”

Sound familiar? And wow, how that system has tried, and continues to try to take down Trump.

Pilger saw it coming. About Trump, he wrote, “In the circus known as the American presidential campaign, Donald Trump is being presented as a lunatic, a fascist. He is certainly odious; but he is also a media hate figure. That alone should arouse our scepticism.”

A “media hate figure.” Ain’t that the truth! And liberals eat it up...."

Globalism by definition supersedes national authority. In it the only rights would reside with the multi-national corporations. All government in it would be for corporations. Human rights would be nil.

Nationalism, while it has a limited focus, is far less egregious because it serves the well being of the nation and by implication its citizenry. Has it at times been misappropriated? Yes. But so has every form of government. Either a government works for the people or it doesn't. Globalism doesn't even begin to pretend to work for the people. It would be rule as a king, but without divine right. It would be free to pit any segment of society against another and could manipulate it by withholding favor and jobs. It is the absolute worst form of hegemony in that there is no redress to it except violence.

The sacrifice of Hillary to the truth of her faults by the Progressives, and the paying of lip service to Trump, is merely a means of them escaping the wrath they rightly deserve. You can't live with those who are constantly undermining you. This is the one case where honey draws badgers rather than flies, and a badger is always undermining you while waiting for the moment to bite.

RE: Nationalism vs. globalism
Of course the Bible is very clear there will be a one world government at the end, and its very easy to see it coming now.

It will happen eventually, but it will quickly fail. I suspect there will be grand celebration of it when it comes, but things will fall apart very rapidly.

Scripture also seems clear that individual nations will still exist, but a one world government will rise for a short period.

The marxist dream of a totally nationless world will never happen. Individual nations will give their power over to it for a brief period, but it will crumble quickly.

Then a RIGHTEOUS KING will reign over the nations from Jerusalem.
