Think it will be closer than some think, especially considering it’s on the Road. Still concerned with Ridder’s play. Hopefully Ridder proves me wrong, but if not I think we can still ride the defense and run game to pull out a victory.

… all we need is just a little offense. I think the D will do it's part.

The strength of our offense is the run game, the strength of their defense is the secondary. We should be able to move the ball on the ground on this Marshall squad. I would expect the tight ends to have a big day as well, as I would expect the offense to attack their linebackers. This fits in with what we want to do.

On defense, they want to line it up and run on us. Thus far our front 7 have been pretty good sans Ohio State. I think our depth up front will eventually work in our favor.

This pretty much sums it up. As Brendel mentioned, Marshall is a run first team and obviously has the talent that aligns more with UCLA/Miami than OSU. Against UCLA and Miami we gave up 62 and 64 total rush yards respectively. If we shut down their mediocre pass attack (Arquon Bush should be back), our defensive will have themselves a day.

As for Marshall offensively, outside of their game against lowly FCS VMI, they have 2 sacks in 2 games and don't get much pressure on the QB - good day for our mediocre OL to go to work. Our 3 headed backfield will do what they need to do.
