Sort of a non event
How many of you old timers actually thought we would ever see the Trojans playing The Razorbacks? We saw it and what I saw was a sort of non event. Gone or dead are the old Broyles desciples that looked down their noses at anything Non Razorback. What we saw was a good college basketball scrimmage between our teams to raise money for charity and get some kinks worked out for both teams with all the money staying in state and in the UA system. Just like the baseball, volleyball and soccer, the games were played, someone won, someone lost. Both sides woke up the next day and the world kept going. Programs were not made or lost and from what I read on boards most were civil and complimentary and now we go on about our seasons. I like Mussellman and I think they will have a good team. I think we will be better, hopefully over .500 and start to get back to where I would like to see us. I was not particularly excited to be playing them either way and I didn't see a lot of excitement in the media either. I thought it was a scrimmage between 2 D1 teams that paves the way for a sane future policy and maybe buries Franks policies once and for all.

Next step is the Hogs scheduling the Red Wolves in something.

We went to the game. Great that they reserved the section behind our team for Little Rock Fans. I enjoyed the game after the first half of the first half.
Our team looks better to me. (But got to hit free throws). I am excited about basketball after that game. Looking for good season for the men and a sweet sixteen for the women.

+1 As an old timer, it is really something to see the idiotic policy of Frank Broyles fade into oblivion with so little fanfare. For so long the Hog minions claimed that it would be Armageddon if Fayetteville ever shared a court or field with any instate team. Arkansas has, at least in this small respect, joined the 21st century.

A non-event is what it should have been all along. That is what it is in other states where there is one power-conference schools.

It took a 500-year flood event to make it possible. They took it as a sign from the Almighty to make it happen.
