***OFFICIAL***VANDERBILT PREDICTION THREAD
Let’s go....

Take the points and the over.
Bowers hits Crawford for 2 TDS and throws for over 300 yards.

Huskies 34
Vandy 31

(Sorry, but yes it’ll come down to the very last possession.)

RE: ***OFFICIAL***VANDERBILT PREDICTION THREAD
I don't know if anyone realizes this, but Bowers is already on pace to smash the Huskies passing yards record. And thats after those last two tough games. He's going to light up Vandy...

NIU - 38
VanD - 24

I apologize if this has already been addressed- but what is going on with Ben Leroy. It looks like he is out. [/i]

RE: ***OFFICIAL***VANDERBILT PREDICTION THREAD
I am gonna guess:
NIU 24
Vandy 42

I am guessing we show some weaknesses on D, and the offense tries but can't keep it within range of winning.

Then again, I picked the Redskins over the Bears, so I'm kinda hoping I'm wrong again.

SIDE BET ALERT ######
Vandy drew 32K for their LSU game, and 40K for their opener against Georgia. I'll bet the attendance too, another wild guess at 29K. Let's get some predictions for this going too!!

The OLine has something to prove, and if it can hold it together, Bowers has Ritchie, Crawford, Tears and Brinkman ... two good WR and two good TE. Get the passing game going and then establish some run with Harbison, Nettles, etc. I think with the Bye, THammock & Co. get the offense scheme together. I also like our punting, PA and FG kicking, despite the snafus at Nebraska.

Northern gets the Boneyard Win, but still not a lot of scoring: NIU 24, Vanderbilt 20

Hope I’m wrong but to me still to many question marks with this team — a Huskie victory would go a long way in answering them but Vandy 31 NIU 20.

I'm still not sure on our Huskies this year. I liked the potential during the Utah game but after Nebraska, I'm not sure? With Pugh going out for the season and no news on Leroy? That's two studs on the defense.

This game will tell us a lot.

17k in attendance.

Will love NIU forever, but its been a long time I looked forward this little to the next game. I think the pains of this rebuild will pay dividends down the road though. Carry on Huskie fans, better times ahead down the road.

Bill Baker shouts "Goodbye Nashville" after the Huskies win by a score of 27 to 20. The Oline protects both Bowers and our punter and the Defense is surprisingly good given the injuries they are dealing with. Saturday becomes "Valentine's Day" and he rushes for over 100 yards.

It’s amazing how demoralized people are after one bad game. Utah was expected and there were positives, but Nebraska was bad. However now everyone (including me sometimes) has lowered hopes. I think injuries are part to blame too

Vandy wins the game outright 24-21.

I will take NIU +6.5

Go for the under at +/-55

Lets have a clean, well played game where we make it out healthy enough to smack around the MAC the rest of way.

RE: ***OFFICIAL***VANDERBILT PREDICTION THREAD
Before all the injuries I thought this would be the game that the Huskies could put it all together and get a solid win going into MAC play. If the Huskies win, I think it will be in a shoot out. Win or lose, I want to see progress from the team. I want to see some success running the ball, and the offense to put together multiple scoring drives. On defense, let's just see some better pressure on the QB. I'm going to have some fun and say something clicks with the offense this week.

NIU- 38
Vanderbilt- 35

I do think it will be close as well. Huskies will rebound as much as they can, and do enough.

Huskies 24

I disagree, Id say this is a classic rebuild project for Hammock.

Huh??? They’re stronger than last year at every position except D end and left tackle. The left tackle issue is because the two highest tackle recruits in NIUs history so far have busted out in Cox and Hawn. Where are they rebuilding?

RE: ***OFFICIAL***VANDERBILT PREDICTION THREAD
I am going with 28-24 Huskies, consistent with what I thought was a good preview by Dave Drury at Hustle Belt: https://www.hustlebelt.com/2019/9/25/208...commodores

I still think Bowers will get to around 350 yards and Harbs gets his first 100 yard game of the season! The O line has to play much better for both of these things to happen, and I think they will start playing better starting with this week!
