STR- Larry Brown named in KU allegations.

Looks like we dodged a bullet in Penny not being allowed to hire LB here.

Honestly, it was an easy call to out their foot down on Penny's wishes there. If it was Bowen, props to him. Larry Brown is radioactive to the NCAA by now.

So, the relevant questions for me at this point is...

Is/was CPH aware of Brown's activities / tendencies at the time he was allegedly considering adding him to the staff?
Was CPH serious about adding Brown or was the story just media fabrication / speculation?

Discuss...

I personally think Penny was worried about his job at hand: putting together the best staff possible with the highest bball IQs and willingness to work (in recruiting, gameplanning and teaching). He simply knows how sharp Larry brown is.

Meanwhile, our AD and UofM leadership did their job and prevented unnecessary scrutiny to the program.

Job well done by all. The program was so low at Penny's hiring that I was for doing anything. Good for our leadership in taking Penny's laid out plan and knowing that Larry brown's efforts were not necessary. It has turned out well.

Curious to hear from any insiders. Until then, I'll believe the above.
