Western Kentucky vs. UAB
Date & Time: Saturday September 28, 2019, 7:00 PM (EST)
Location: L.T. Smith Stadium, Bowling Green, KY
The Line: Western Kentucky +2 -- Over/Under:
TV Channel: ESPN+

The Blazers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games, 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

The Hilltoppers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games, 3-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

The over is 35-16 in Hilltoppers last 51 home games. The under is 18-8 in Blazers last 26 games overall.

The UAB Blazers have covered eight of their last 11 games as a favorite. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have split their last eight games ATS as an underdog. The UAB Blazers have shown no problem winning on the road dating back to last season and have been profitable ATS away from home as well. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers haven't shown much consistency up to this point and they're going to have a hard time finishing games if they can't run the football. UAB is the more trustworthy team so lay the small chalk.

With the QB change I don't know what to expect. I am obviously pulling for a WKU win but I think this will be a 4 point game to the blazers.

UAB by 20, WKU is just not there yet......Was shocked WKU opened up in Vegas as a 3 point favorite, that didn't last long.... wish I could have gotten some money on that early line on UAB who is the clear favorite in this one....

I enjoyed our last game in Bowling Green. Really nice stadium, training area, campus set up.
Seems like we had a JJ Nelson KO return and a defensive fumble recovery by our player who I think went on to finish his career on the Hill with y’all. We had a number of guys from that team that are now playing on Sundays.
UAB coming back with success is a national story and one of the biggest stories coming out of CUSA in the last couple of years. We lost 30+ players from last year. We need the win to keep our story going!

Plan on making it up for the game. Looking forward to seeing WKU, I’ve actually read some really nice things about y’all’s campus. Also, any recommended restaurants/local watering holes?

Hilligan's is close to campus, corner of 13th and College; 6-4-3 Sports Bar is downtown next to the BG Ball Park; new place just opened on the square, The Smug Beagle. If you go out Scottsville Rd toward the Mall you have all of the chains

Double Dogs is the only way to go. It's on Scottsville Rd which is a little further away from campus, but without question the best sports bar in town. There are at least 8 bars around the downtown square area only 3/4 of a mile from the stadium. 440 main, 643 sports bar and grill, Cliffs of Mohr Irish Pub, The Office @ 912, and Mariahs all decent spots to grab a few cold ones before the game.

If you're looking for more upscale dinning definitely try Hickory and Oak or Montana Grille.

Stay away from Scottsville Road at all costs. Terrible traffic and chain restaurants will be all that you find there. Head “downtown” before and after the game. There you will experience the true BG that most fall in love with. Tons of local places to eat and drink. Easily walkable and a picturesque setting.

This will be UAB’s toughest game so far from a weak overall schedule. WKU in an upset.

This is another intriguing game this weekend. Which team can finish in the Red Zone? I think UAB will win by a 6 - 10 points, but would not be shocked to see the Red Blobs eek out a W.

UAB pressures WKU qb into multiple mistakes that set up short fields for the Blazers. Red zone scoring goes for a couple of TDs and FGs as Blazers lead by 13 going into Q4. Toppers get a td and lose by 6 but keep it very interesting. UAB 23-17.

Pulling for WKU, so that UAB gets a conference loss.
Pulling for UAB, because they are undefeated and we want the G5 access bowl slot!
Expecting a very good game.

.
We are doomed, Bear is average at best. He misses almost as many as he gets correct.

Some things to think about. UABs oline is suspect in run game, RB isn’t himself(in my opinion). DBs haven’t been tested by more than Decent-at best WRs. Dline hasn’t faced a decent oline.

Our wr’s are for sure not our strength. Our offensive lineman are.
