Iowa is a superior team to Michigan this year. People had expectations backwards in the preseason. How much are we getting paid for this game?

I love it. The commentators are literally talking about how many pelicans are in Iowa. Clearly they’re bored. Not much to appreciate today. You know, except Iowa’s ability to run all over a team they outclass.

Did y’all hear there’s a $56 deal for the Marshall game? 4 tickets 4 drinks and 4 hot dogs. Sideline seats too... not end zone. I guess they’re already anticipating a less than enthusiastic crowd for conference season. Entering 1-3 doesn’t generate tons of intrigue.

41-3... this is beyond embarrassing. Asher has no help today. So many dropped passes, and penalties which negated any gains.

Do they have their 3rd string backups in the game?

I don't know what "string" they had in but to go for it on 4th with less than a minute to go when you are already up by 38 is classless.

That was a 4th-and-3 at Middle’s 37 yard line with something like 3 minutes left in the game. Iowa was up 41-3.

Unless there is some hidden personal-animosity between the coaches.... ?

When we were I-AA (now known as FCS) Boots Donnelly played Nebraska and Florida State as money games.. Even Boot, Little Middle teams did not get whipped like wqe did today. Shameful Performance by the coaches and our players are clearly overmatched against these kind of folks. So, bad recruiting as well as bad coaching appears to be the norm in the Boro

I was more perturbed by the end of that drive. They got to the two yard line with two minutes to go. They had several options to just run out the clock but First and goal, MT stopped it. Second down MT stopped. Third down MT stopped it. And then finally of 4th down the QB sneaked it in with 47 seconds left.

I mean they whooped our ass. There was nothing left to prove at that point.

My general admiration for Ferentz as a coach with some real class took a Giant Hit! In other words, """"k him!!!!!!!!! And, since I can't stand Coach Khaki Pants; let's hop Iowa and Michigan battle to a Tie whenever they face off!

So based on the 1-3 non conference result, is anyone taking it too much to heart? We had the toughest non-con schedule of any CUSA team. Granted we got our butts handed to us, and honestly struggled at times against TSU (FCS).

I’m not overly worried. I think most CUSA teams had rough non-con games and all of us are ready to start playing one another in games with better parity. So far WKU has racked up a couple of wins despite the loss to FCS Central Arkansas. Admittedly a very good team from that level.

I’m interested to see where we go. But I’m not entirely down and out yet. We could run the table on co Terence from what I’ve seen from other teams. We could also belly flop and have a 3-9 year. We already have 3 losses. Odds of going 5-3 or better are not horrible.
