Obviously, recruiting isn't an exact science. To get a measure of how inexact, let's look how current recruits compare to past recruits. The player's freshman season has to be factored in; so we are looking at a very serviceable freshman in CDR averaging 8.3 ppg and 31% from outside, but not the AA who averaged 18 ppg and 41.3% from outside as a junior.

The key IMO is to look at the players as positionless. Don't look at the lists and say that we don't have a point guard or we have 5 big men, or whatever. Only how each recruit performed in their freshman or sophomore seasons, depending on which player they are mirrored with.

Why don't you add even more rankings by year. These guys are all on the team THIS year. We have never had this much talent on the same team.

Every year, no matter what my expectation is Sweet 16. It doesn't change for the bad years or the good years.

Worst case, the schedule turns out to be weak, and Memphis ends up an 8 seed.

There is no ceiling on the upside.
