While we bide our time...

A few things..

1. Any predictions re. end of season record? (Before MAC championship game) I see us finishing 7-1 in the MAC, 8-4 overall.

2. Only thing that may save us from losing coach Lewis: his age & has been head coach for only 2 seasons (by years end.)

3. We’re 4 games into the season.. what other MAC team(s) are possibly better than us? Explain why


PS This is mmucha BTW (for those of you who have been here for awhile.) Thought I would try a new online name for my return to the board :)

2) see above, his departure depends on his success here obviously and its still early
3) still a little early to tell as teams just got out of their OOC scheduling where they play teams much better or much poorer.

Seriously - I remember the year we pounded Toledo Tom and his crew at Dix - then injuries hit and I think we maybe finished 0.500!

hmmm consensus thus far is that i'm too optimistic.

this team is REALLY GOOD & the players are buying into coach lewis' system

this team is the real deal


MAC conference watch out!

I absolutely hope you’re right, just too many down years to try and get ahead of things. I’ll remain cautiously optimistic and just hope it isn’t like Charlie Brown getting ready to kick the ball only to have Lucy pull it back at the last second.

Glad they're getting a bye week this year. With how the calendar falls, sometimes it's only 1 bye week, which gets used before the first weeknight game, and just a week and a half off. They're getting 2 weeks now, plus the extra time before the first game in November

I suppose the rest is good, but after a game like Saturday, you usually want to play again as soon as you can.

I have to admit Kent did a good impersonation of a football team Saturday.

Encouraging note: bad teams (like we are too familiar with) don't beat anyone 62-20. That was a new movie I got to watch Saturday. I sure was tired of the old one.

That is 100% true. BG is not very good but throughout most of the last thirty years we win 24-23. This year we crushed them. That’s a pretty good sign.

Bye week highlight: 0-4 UMass, which suspended six starters for the game, is running the Zips off the field.

zips were not blown-out.. lost 37-29.
toledo beats BYU 28-21.
ksu opponent auburn won big.
asu won 24-17 vs #15 cal.
next week's opponent, wisconsin, won 24-15 vs northwestern.

today:
ksu soccer had a GREAT comeback in soccer. down 3-0.. scored 3 straight to get the tie. the highlights of the 3 ksu goals.. amazing! a few were laser shots from distance.

field hockey won 5-1 vs ohio u.

Zips game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. That loss should cement them as #1 in the CBS Bottom 25.

Zips lost to a team with nine starters out. Umass played their third string QB. Thats a rough loss
