State takes game 3 today, 9-1 and the series win. Jeff Lacher allowed 5 hits and only 1 earned run to improve to 6-0 on the year. I have a good feeling that he will be on the mound in the second game of the tourney, he is doing well, but only recently got the nod for a Sunday start, he had been starting all of the midweek games. State finishes the regular season with a record of 39-16-1 and ends conference play at 17-12. Despite the loss, the Tide roll into the tournament, uh, pun intended, Florida's loss today eliminated them and in a shocking development, the entire West is in the tourney with USC and Vandy, good deal for the Dores, in as the East teams.
