Villanova? UConn? Marquette? Xavier?

Marquette always travels well, whether to in-season or post-season tournaments, road games or conference games. Since they joined, I have gained immense respect for Creighton's fan base. They travel very well.

I have to give it up to the Butler fans. It's great to tune in to watch games at Hinkle. The fans are always up for big games, and every game seems like a big game.
Would love to travel to see the Cats play there someday.

I'd have to say Creighton. No matter when you watch their games- that place is absolutely bat **** crazy(that's a good thing).

I might choose Creighton. Now to be fair, the program has no "competition" for fans from pro sports franchises (like the other Big East university athletic programs do). Still, the Creighton fan base (both in terms of numbers and passion) is VERY impressive.

And I've always respected the Marquette fan base. I started loosely following Warrior/Golden Eagle hoops in 1991 while doing some freelance work for Athlon. The MU fans do a great job.

I'm also hugely respectful of the Xavier fan base. I've been a Cincinnati Bearcat follower since 1991 (first via Athlon and then in 1998 when my brother attended UC) — but I'm fair-minded enough to give XU fans full props and respect.

All the BE fan bases (except DePaul, one of the two BE programs I root for) are very respectable and, in some cases, outstanding.

I would almost argue that — relatively speaking — the BE has the "best" fan bases of any other conference (though that fact is helped, in part, because the league's fan bases are hoops-centric with no major football programs to cheer on; still, very impressive).

UCONN Women's Basketball. Those old folks are cray.

Fo' sho'. They may smell a bit like Gold Bond's Powder, but they do know how to hoot it up for the UConn Ladies.

So, which school has a crazier fan base, Wichita State or Creighton? I only ask out of curiosity since we are trading one for the other with our move from the AAC to the Big East.

I'm thinking Creighton by a good margin. Their average attendance is around 17k vs 10.5k for Wichita State. Although both average their max capacity at their respective arenas.

If you look at social media, CU twitter has 70k followers vs WSU at 8.6k and facebook CU 50k vs WSU at 500... Again, with a caveat that it could just be strength of their social media managers.

As someone who follows both the AAC and the Big East, Creighton would get the clear edge over WSU based on numbers. However, relatively speaking, both fan bases are very passionate, loud and dedicated.
