Saw the highlights on CBB Sports and the announcer said Clemson was not interested in running the score. The score at the half was 38-3 and the final was 52-10. Good for UNCC that Clemson didn't run up the score for the polls.

I agree, the Panthers suck... go Saints.

We did. I was at the Panthers first win in franchise history. I was only 9 and not very interested in football but I remember thinking the tiger prints painted on the road and sidewalks to stadium were the coolest thing ever.

The Panthers wanted to play at South Carolina but they didn't want the Panthers messing up their field.

None of the ACC schools in the state had enough capacity to host.

I looked it up and it doesn’t seem like they drew very well. Averaged between 48-50,000 for their home games at Clemson, but did have 75,000+ for their last home game that season with the 49ers. Because who can forget that old NFC West rivalry between San Francisco and Carolina...
