It ruins the experience in watching a football game it’s that bad. They have so many technical issues with replays, sound, displaying the correct info on the side - it was 1st & 10 during the Akron game and they had 1st & 60. I could go on and on. They need to correct this.

IIRC, the respective home team is responsible for producing the content and ESPN+ is only responsible for distributing the games via its digital platform. Schools are most likely using their undergrad students for free labor & provide an outlet for broadcasting students to gain real experience. So technically, you should be demanding that either Troy or Akron students to step up their games.

If the player isn't playing the stream, that's an ESPN+ issue.

The production value is up to the school though.

I got a chance to tour GS production room during a televised game a few years back on a Thursday night. It's all ran by GS staff and students, who are responsible for camera angles, graphics, etc. Host team also provides the announce team I believe.

Correct. And some schools take the cheap approach and the result is a poor quality

My ESPN plus keeps freezing, buffers---goes black. Anybody know which browser(if any) works best with espn plus?

I use Chrome with zero issues.

ESPN+ has been fantastic for me. No buffering issues ever.

If it's buffering, your internet sucks. That's not on E+.

My samsung TV has an ESPN app now and I've had zero issues watching any games on ESPN+. I have comcast xfinity internet with 150mbps download speed so maybe that helps.

I have Xfinity too, it’s actually really good

I've easily watched dozens of games with zero issues on ESPN+, sometimes more than one at a time. Web browser and smart TV app. Works great.

I am overall very pleased with espn +

It does begin to show where we all stand in our communication departments

Ours is getting much needed attention

Disney bought BamTech to get the best technology. ESPN+ runs on the same software platform as MLB.tv and NHL GameCenter.

Unfortunately the technology doesn't matter much if the camera person gets distracted by a butterfly or the sideline announcer doesn't remember to turn their mike on or the dudes in the truck put up the wrong graphics.

It's also worth noting that ESP supplied every member school with the necessary equipment to run a broadcast as part of the new contract. I've heard they didn't provide much training, but the pieces are there to produce a quality broadcast.
